ok, so in october I weighed 126. by december I had gone down to 111 and flet amazing, I looke dgreat too. I'm 5'8, and my docetre didnt' leik taht I wieghed so little so she threatened me with the hospitle. I freaked out and guess how much I weigh now? 128! it's terribel. I want to be at most 115 by march 18th, my soph hop. any suggestions? I've been trying to keep the cals under 600, but I seem to have no control any more.

600 calories is far too little to maintain good health, sweetie.

I would also incline to agree with your doctor that 111lbs is really low for someone your height.
listen to your doctor , they are usually right
there are people around you who care about you and wouldn't want you starving yourself. 1200 calories minimum.
but I want to weigh 115 by soph hop. I won't go under thsi time, wont' go crazy, I just want to wiegh 115, I feel good then, adn isn't that what it's all abotu, feelgin good for yoursefl? I'm really not liek anorexic any more or anything, really I'm not, I just want to wiegh 115.
You really are too tall to weigh 115...1200 cals minimum a day...have patience...your body gained it back because it's starving for calories!
barbaraallen, talk to your doctor. have her tell you why she doesn't like that weight, your body needs a certain amount of fat and muscle to have proper working organs, and it sounds like you're getting too low for your organs to function correctly. Please talk to your doctor and be safe.
ok, but guys, I am so fat right now. They'res rolls and rolls of fat. I hate it so much, it's the worst feelgin in teh world, I've never had it thsi bad before in my life. I seirously want to die..... idk what to do, I need to loose it fast.
sweetie.. i weigh 295 lbs.. do you REALLY know what "rolls and rolls" of fat looks like? 128 is not over weight at 5'8" i am not trying to make light of how you are feeling but honestly, you need to talk to a counselor or your doctor. If you really feel you need to lose some weight, do it right.. DO NOT go under 1200 calories a day! no one here will advocate anything less because it's not healty! Don't do yourself harm because you think you need to lose this weight.. you need to take care of yourself physically, and honestly it sounds like you need to take care of yourself emotionally too. I am saying this stuff not to make you mad or upset you but to make you understand that you need to talk to someone about everything going on in your life to make you feel like you are overweight.
You are not eating enough at 600 calories, technically you're not anorexic anymore because you're eating. But you ARE hurting yourself. Anything under 1200 calories is putting your body into starvation mode. In starvation mode, your body stores anything you eat as fat ... harsh, but true. By eating so little, you're sabatoging your weight loss.
I've gone from 200 pounds down to 166, and yes, at the beginning, it DID seem like it would never come off, but it HAS. You just have to have patience. Patience is key.
The "normal" weight range for someone my height, 5'2" is 111-136 pounds. I can only imagine what it is for someone your height. The height makes a lot of difference, you can be a li'l heavier than us short folk, and yet you don't look like you are ... you carry it better than we do on our short frames. Did you know that many of the models who are 5'9" and above ... weigh around 150 pounds?? I know it may not feel like it to you, but 128 is not even overweight, let alone fat. My goal weight is even above that, at 130 pounds.
Let me tell you a story ...
My grandma has never had a very big appetite. Anytime she'd eat, she'd eat about half that of a normal person, IF that. I've seen one picture of her at her heaviest, which I think was 140 pounds ... after having not one child, but SIX KIDS. She hasn't weighed much of anything ever since I've been around, n I'm 21. Last year, she was hospitalized with pneumonia. She wasn't taking in enough energy (food) to pull herself out of it, and we nearly lost her. When she left the hospital, the doctors told her that if she didn't start eating more, she would not recover, and she wasn't going to make it. Ever since then, it's been a daily battle with her and food.
Please don't wind up like this. What you do to your body effects not only you, but those around you that love you and don't want to see you hurting. Please, don't go below 1200 calories, it's not healthy, and your body WILL suffer from it in the long-run.
sweetie - 600 cal a day isn't healthy. I have a daughter that is also a sophmore. She is 5'6 and weighs 116 - and although she feels she is too "curvy" I think is has a perfect figure. There is way to much pressure for girls to look like sticks - we just aren't built that way. You need to get that calorie intake up to at least 1200 - if you are eating healthy and working out - it will come off and you'll be doing it the right way and will feel better in the long run. Not to mention that you'll be stronger and toner too!
Btw, there was a nurse on here who said that tech. a person who eats under 1000 calories is still constituted as having an eating disorder. Weight comes off easier, and healthier when you eat. Please at least up it to 1,000 please- a more healthy number to work up to would be 1,200- but please at least take baby steps to being healthier. And don't pay attention to the numbers, try toning instead of just losing, you'd weigh more, but you look better than just skin and bones. Please just be healthy
Seriously, girl. I'm 5'8 myself and I'll be ecstatic at 145. If you really want to look better, start working out to tone and shape your muscles, but you MUST eat more. IF you work out, keep in mind that real muscles weighs more than actual fat, but its not fat. Its not all in the weight, it's also how you look. A girl with nicely toned arms and legs looks MUCH better than a girl who is just skin and bones - And if that's your motivaton - ask any male what he prefers - he'll say healthy and curvy, not skinny and boney.

These other people know what they're talking about when they tell you not to drop below 1200 calories. Your body really DOES freak out and go 'holy crap!? this is all we get a day?? we better hang on to what we got! This IS what happens. You'll start loosing muscle mass to keep the fat ON your body!

Rolls of fat at 5'8" and 128? Honey, I weighed 128 at 5'4" and I had no fat rolls at all - I was toned and trim back then. It was an ideal weight for me because it was all muscle. I felt great and looked great too. Eat more and build up that muscle you need to look good.

Now, 25 years later, I've gotten really fat. I'd give anything to be even 140 again!
Hi Dear, you think that 128 is bad. Well 600 is to low and your body is going to hold weight for it's on safety. Dear you have to eat. For your height 5/8 dear... You really need to be eating. 600 will come with a lot of health problems you don't want. I make sure i get around 1200 in my diet every day. I am way more heavier than you. Not only that i am shorter than you. I am 5'even and where you are at is where i need to be. But i want a size i can be happy with and that is 140 or maybe even 135.

When you hit 215 tipping the scales. That is when you freak. You are not over weight. You are just fine.

I don't care to be that small. You don't even have a body mass index at that size. You have no fat on you no where i am sure of it.
If you are fat in your eyes. Just tone up. If you got a small roll. Get on the floor and do some ab work outs.

But don't kill yourself trying to be a size you are not to be. I mean. Do you really want tubes running out of your body pumping food into you when you hit the all time low of 78 pounds. Will that make you happy.

I think you are over thinking this. You are fine the way you are. Be happy. I am should be yelling oh no i gain not you. You gain nothing that would hurt your shape.

I am not a doctor. I am a real fat person in this battle of the weight loss war.. And there are many of us out here who are.

I want you to be happy. I want you to live a long life. But please. you are fine at your weight. Just tone up, add good foods into your diet. And stop stressing.

Stop worrying about numbers. Itis different for everyone depending on height and frame size. 115 might be a healthy weight for a woman who is 5'2" and very petite, but there is no standard weight for everyone.
Rather than starving yourself by keeping under 600 calories, if you feel unhappy with your body why not do some toning exercises which will help maintain your shape and improve health + confidence? Body shape has more to do with simply weight.
I would definately say body shaping is the way to go. At your height and weight, you'd have a hard time staying healthy and slender, not skinny/bony. Did you know that you can reshape your body by working on muscle groups and make yourself look lean and sexy and still maintain the healthy weight your doctor wants? I think you would find yourself more pleased with your body if you gave pilates a try, and perhaps some other toning and conditioning exercises. Talk to your doctor, give it a try. The scale does not tell everything about how sexy or attractive you are. And if you stay too low in bodyweight, you can actually become sterile and not be able to have children later in life. I'm sure you aren't thinking of that right now, but I'd imagine you'd want kids sometime. It's also a strain on your heart. Sweetie, being too far underweight is just as unhealthy for your body as being overweight. So take care of yourself. :)
I'm sorry, but I can't support pro-anna, I won't encourage you on your 600 calories.
ok, well guys thanks for your concern I do apreciate it alot, and it's very kind. But I do alot and I mean ALOT of exercise already. I do 600 sit ups, 200 push ups, a weight lifting riutien, and am a runner. and I still have love handles. I really liked how I looked at 111, but 115 woudl be fine. epsolutly fine. I actually used to be belimic, btu I'm nto any more, and thats; really good. I havent' thrown up in abtou a month and a half. I just want to look good for myself again. I dont' knwo how to explain it, it's npot liek I'm like, "oh, I want to be thin" it's the worst possibel feelign in the world and it makes me hate myself more then anything. Manymany nights I sit crygin becvause of all the wieght I have, and I just wnat to be able to love myself again. thank you though, as a lways I apreciete your care.

oh, and to respond to two above abotu becomeing steril. I didn't haev my period for abotu a year when I was at 111, but at 115 I still get it. it was actually really upsetting when I got it again becasue it ment that I had finaly gained alot of wieght. I've been gettign it since january.
barbaraallen- do you know that if you eat more and continue that exericse you will see 100% better results- no joke.

before i found this site i had the common misconseption that if you eat less, move more, lose most. so i'd eat 500-600 calories tops, never lost a pound, actually i gained. now that I ate anywhere from 1,000-1,400 calories, i'm seeing the best results ever.

and by eating that low and working out that much you are pretty much killing your body. please please please take care. eat more please.
