To Write Love On Her Arms :]

Quote  |  Reply

I don't know if anyone else has posted about this, but today November 13th is National To Write Love On Her Arms Day.

Please visit www.twloha.com to learn more!

So please, any one willing to support this cause, write the word "love" on your arm and spread the word! :]

I'm participating! Let's spread the word everyone, for a very important cause.

Not to mention a great excuse to draw on yourself. :P

The site is blocked at work.

Someone explain please?

You're supposed to literally write "LOVE" on your arms to draw awareness to depression, suicide and self-harming behaviours (i.e. cutting).

I personally think there are better ways to do that than by writing on yourself.

Aww, that's sweet. I remember a few years back there was some thing about wearing an orange bracelet to draw awareness to self-injury. Except that I doubt that anyone who didn't visit self-injury support sites was made aware of the bracelet's significance.

Though I thoroughly support people going through this, I don't know that I'll write "love" on my arm at work, because I don't really want to discuss depression, suicide, and cutting with my co-workers, sorry. I'm not sure how they'd react, which is why all my cuts stay safely under my clothing, where they can't see.

I did it, but heard about it on facebook. I'm a student though, so it's a lot more setting appropriate for me, haha. Luckily today is my day off or I wouldn't have been able too. That's just not very proffesional for a secretary.
