WTF? I gained 2 freaking pounds!!
I'm on stage 1 workout 3, but I've been working out for weeks prior to starting this program and I expected to step on the scale today and see weight loss but instead I see that I've gained 2 pounds. It was very depressing to me leaving the gym. I'm not oblivious to how exercise results work and I know I may gain at first, but for some reason this is not sitting well with me. Anyone else gain weight when first starting this program?
Your muscles could be retaining extra water to help in healing and that is probably what is going on!
Other reasons may include eating an extra salty meal or not having enough water the day before or TTOM.
I know it is frustrating to see the scale go up, but keep at it!
I am done with stage 1 and up about 2 lbs. I am very bad at being strict with my cals and have been eating mostly maintenace though.
I don't like the scale so much, but I am loving the changes in my bod and how clothes fit.
Keep at it. We are a scale obsessed society. I know I am. Trying to just enjoy the changes. (I swear I see the outside of a sixpack!) If I look and feel good-fit into my clothes it shouldn't matter so much what that # is.
I gained 5 pounds during the first stage. I did level out and in the end it was only 2 pounds. I think at first it was water and by the end of the stage some muscle. I do notice that my clothing fits different and people have asked me if I am losing weight !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Give it time this is a huge change for your body.
I just finshed the second set of workouts for Stage 1. Unfortunately, I have gained 5 pounds so far. Not only did I gain weight, but my pants are incredibly tight. I recently adjusted my calorie intake. Not much, but enough that I have started to see a downward trend in my weight. I swear I can see definition in my calves and biceps, but I am sure it is my imagination. To piggyback on everyone else, keep at it.
