Wu-Yi Tea?

Anyone know anything about this Wu-Yi tea????  Wondering if it is a hoax?

I, too, found myself wondering the same thing about a month and a half ago. Allow me to fill you in on what I discovered.

Wu - Yi Tea is simply plain Oolong Tea Leaves. The exact same loose leaf tea you can buy from any quality grocer (i.e, Whole Foods). There is absolutely no reason anyone should buy it through these companies online. The name "Wu-Yi" is simply the region in which the tea is grown thus producing a unique flavor, it's nothing special. Certainly not worth the money they're asking of you.

Not only is it more expensive on these sites, but the quality is not regulated and remains questionable. An Oolong Tea I recommend is Rishi Tea, which can be purchased at Whole Foods and similar Health Food Stores.. Or direct online. http://www.rishi-tea.com/store/oolong-tea/

Rishi Tea is high quality, trusted, and absolutely amazingly delicious. I've been drinking Rishi Teas for about 4 years now... and I will go to no other brand.

Oolong tea, just like Green Tea, comes from the same Tea plant. The only difference is the environment in which it's grown and the manners in which it is processed.

Oolong does possess properties, moreso than Green Tea, that assist in fat burning. This is due to it's ability to speed up metabolism and inhibit fat from developing.

I am no scientist and regret that I can not explain in any further detail.. You will have to read the studies for yourself!
