This website changed my life. ( : Sounds overly dramatic, but it is true. I hope to look back a year or so from now and think, "I am forever grateful......" Anywho, I think my favorite part of cc, aside from all the great educational information, is the overwhelming support and friendship I've found here. I guess most of my life I've only trusted and truly befriended a handful of unique women---I hold my friends in the highest regard and do not take camraderie lightly. The women I have met here are seriously my spiritual twins! I always felt very alone in my weight loss journey----no more!
That said, I think my cc girls, and you know who you are, are the best! ( : My buddies, my pals, my soul sisters =P Chat away to motivate yourself and others! ( ;

I was talking about the James Bond movies, the last one had Daniel Craig in it and he's H-O-T!! So does the new one Quantum Solace that just came out and Daizy said it was good and he was super sexy again, not hard for him I'm sure.
Ugh, is it time to go home yet??
Hi ladies! Just thought I'd jump on for a second this morning since the internet is going pretty fast today, we'll see how long it lasts though. I want a day at home to do nothing and exercise. I miss my Wii Fit but since D's been sick, he's been hogging the tv lately and isn't in the mood to watch me fit. And I've been busy getting him medicine, food, water, blanket on, blanket off all the good stuff of having a sickie around. He's being pretty good this time around though, usually he's a lousy sickie.
What are everyone's plans for the weekend? So far we have no plans but maybe having my friend A over to meet his new g/f and watch a movie. He's really smitten with her, he's so cute when he gets all red when I make fun of him about it!! Usually his new g/f's are just flings but I could tell from day one this one was different. We'll see how it goes!
((((JELLY))) I am just glad to see you are out there alive and kicking, girlie. ( :
I meant the movie where he's naked. =P in the Bond movie? really? lucky friend A with a hot new gf he really likes. that's cute. Sorry D is still sick. Are you staying well??
My date with J went fine. no problems at all. And I took him the last of his things, so I am free and clear..... this is the month where I start paying ALL the bills. wish me luck. I SO need a second job.......
Hope all of you are well and happy! ( :
I have nothing interesting to say except that I look nice today.... if you only look the out fit and not the screaming toddler pulling skirt off and the trail of snot across my sleeve now. Not to mention.... I am SO bloated as my TOM is SUPER late. And before anyone asks....no its not another cc baby, just stress related lateness, but still that is no fun LOL.
I should journal, but I am not yet.. Been having weird dreams lately, not weird like bad dreams. Weird as in just like weird weird dreams. hahaha.
Happy Thursday!
J~ Casino Royale is the bond movie with the naked guy in it
, enjoy! I'm glad things went well with J and you have a better closure to your relationship and maybe a small opening to a friendship.
Val~ I get weird dreams a lot, none lately though but they are extremely vivid when I wake up, odd. Isn't it fun to look nice? I always feel so much better when I look nice but it's just too much work most of the time! I have to do my hair and shave my legs and put on make up... but then I get compliments and it's worth it.
Good morning to everyone else! Gotta go get some actual work done!
Good morning lovely ladies! Everyone smile because you are all beautiful!
I'm here at work already wishing it was either lunchtime or time to go home already, it's going to be a long day. I want chicken tortilla soup for lunch and I'm hoping D will take me there. Either that or the salad bar and chili from the restaurant on base, either is fine by me. At least the salad bar would have a shread of healthyness to it.
Not much exciting, I went to class last night and he gave us our final project which so far sounds pretty do-able but he hasn't given us part 2 yet which may be harder. After he gave us the guidelines he let us have time to start programming it ourselves and he just hung out to answer questions which was really nice. Most people left (there are only 5 of us and three left) so it was me and one other guy and we both started doing something one way and he showed us a much easier way to do the same thing for about 10 less lines of code, cool! I feel kinda bad for copying it but at least he knows that I knew how to do it the old longer way. I actually answered one of the other guys question and my prof was impressed that I knew how to do that since he hadn't taught us, it was simple though, just making a legend on a graph of what line meant what. But it was nice to actually prove I was learning from my midterm project. I got an 85 on it because I did one thing wrong and labeled 2 axis' wrong but he is really nice and gives everyone a chance to re-do it and can earn up to 90 pts. So a few simple changes and I'll go from a mid-B to an A, yippee!! I really like teachers that are more about learning and teaching than just assigning hard-ass projects to watch you squirm.
Ok, that's enough outta me for now! I had Honey Nut Chex for breakfast but they dont really fill me up. I'm going to go have a cup of green tea and see if that helps before binge on something else. Oatmeal is actually sounding kinda good though for the warmth, weird. Oatmean, NEVER sounds good.
I love you, abbs. You're beautiful too!!!! D is feeling better then?? YUM to ckn tortilla soup --- ( :
YAY for easy projects too, girl. you deserve a break if you ask me.....
Have you explored all the yummy flavors of oatmeal? I love it.... I get the sugar free 100 cal packs, and do it just plain with a little sweetener and cinnamon in it, but I add PB and a little sugar free grape jelly to it. YUMMY!!!! you could add raisins or dried cranberries or something too...... I am making myself hungry for real breakfast vs. my protein shake. tomorrow -- oatmeal!!
Have good days, girls. I miss you on the weekend!!!!!
OMG, I cannot believe I haven't been in here all week! I forgot just how much I had on my agenda, apparently.
Peanut ~ Glad you are home and Parker is feeling better. I hope you are, too! Get some rest this weekend and enjoy some time with the hub :)
Ring ~ I heart Daniel Craig. I loved your note up there - too funny! He is SO very easy to look at. Those eyes, man, I could stare into them forever. Yum ;) I hope D is feeling better today and that you have a fun weekend hanging out! I cannot believe your work situation with the computers isn't completely repaired yet. That's nuts. Good job with your class, though!
Janay ~ Glad that things went well with J. That had to feel good afterward. And, like you said, you are best friends. I like the idea that you're willing to see where you both are next year. That sounds like great progress to me. And enough time to feel out what you really want. Have fun with your Mom this weekend!
Val ~ LOVED your description of looking great minus the child pulling off your clothing and using you as a tissue! Classic Mom. I'm sure you still look just as beautiful :) Have fun this weekend!
Jess ~ Good to see your post! I hope work slows down a bit sometime soon so we can hear from you again. Let us know when you hear about the position you posted for - fingers crossed!!
Hi all! I am not gonna be on much today since Phebe had a half day, and she is here at the office with me today. She is currently playing nintendogs while I type this. But TOM FINALLY came...HOORAY! bout time.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
Abs- you are beautiful too!
Janay- any plans this weekend?
Peanut- I might surprise you with a visit this weekend if you are up to it.
Daizy- I cannot wait to get that workout from you! Thanks for bein so sweet.
I had a very seemingly busy weekend. but I didn't get a lot done. ??
I played elf for mom all day Saturday (she still hadn't remembered to pay me, and not to be hateful, but I deserve to get paid......) See gallery for pics. lol It was FREEZING but fun.
Then yesterday we had family Thanksgiving early. Strange.... BUT one less thing to stress about. Onward and upward........ I wish it was Xmas already, so I could see M, but it's on its way.........
Hope all of you are well and happy. Have fantastic Mondays!!! ( :
Hi everyone! Quick post from me today, busy busy at work. We had a stressful Saturday at grandma's but a nice relaxing day yesterday in the kitchen and in front of the fire so I guess it all evens out.
We finally got back to the gym today and will go again tomorrow. Tonight after work I have to run to the grocery store to get the rest of the ingredients I need to make my cookies in a jar for my RFL committee before our Dec 2nd meeting! Time kinda snuck up on me!
Hope you all had great weekend! J- I'm headed over to your gallery to see your new pics now!
Oh my goodness girls!!!
I have an interview tomorrow for that job!!! I am so excited!!!!
I have to explain that just getting an interview within the company means so much, that means they already have a huge interest in me for this job. I can't even believe it...
YAY! Go JESS!!
Cannot WAIT to hear how it goes for you! WIll send all positive vibes and thoughts your way tomorrow....let us know how it went when you can :)
Ok everyone, time to post your favorite Thanksgiving memory (or outrageous story, your choice!):
We used to all get together at my great aunts house and all the kids would go upstairs and play with her super cool 50's toys and games! She had this game called Hip Flip which is a stick with two half circles on the end. You and another person put the half circles on your hips and have to work together to spin the monkey hanging off the stick! Such a rediculous game and we LOVED it! Also, she has a million marbles and a marble track that we used to run marbles down non-stop for about two hours and we were mesmorized. Wow, we were dorks as kids! All in all we all get along, no major fights, namecalling or other shennanigans just good ol clean family fun!
This year will just be my partens and D and I since it seems like my family is busy with a million other things but that's just this year, next year should be back to normal for us (all together is what I mean). It will be odd being so small but it's better than nothing!
Every year we go to the Thanksgiving day parade. I have gone every year since I was 2, with the exception of 2 years when Phebe was too little to go. There was one year where it was literally -15 degrees, well, -1 and then -15 with the windchill factor. We were outside for 5 minutes total, and spent the rest of the time sitting in the back of my aunts van drinking hot cocoa and eating donuts. Phebe was 2 at the time, and she had hot chocolate all over her face, and donuts crumbled inher hair. She was SO happy. I loved it.
YAY, JESS!!!! ( : good luck!!!!!!!
Thanksgiving memory = a couple of years ago, my mom elected not to make turkey and the trimmings and did lasagna instead. It was out of the oridinary and seemed special. We had the BEST time laughing and joking and picking on each other...... That was the last turkey day my brother was home, and it just felt very........... homey and like we were kids again in grown up bodies. I know there was a burping contest (that my sister of all people won...) LOL. it made me laugh just now remembering......
Yay holiday stories!!
J~ how is your brother? Any word on when he'll be home either for a visit or for good? Is he doing ok over there (or as ok as can be expected)?
Val~ What a fun tradition! I hope it isn't too cold this year for you!
I'm busy NOT working actually. Everyone in the office is chatty today and doesn't want to do work so there are people just floating in and out of my office to chat about nothing at all, it's a fun day!
Hmmm - this is sad! I cannot think of anything that sticks out as a specific T-day memory....just the best-ever stuffing my Nana always made (and I make now!) and her "kiss" cookies - the peanut butter cookies with the Hershy's kiss stuck on top - yum. *yes we had the other typical pies, etc. I just like cookies better!*
Ever since I started dating Jeff - 14 years ago - we've split holidays between our families, so depending on the year depends on where we'll be. Oh no - I have a memory of one of our T-days with his extended family....they are all big debaters and will debate the heck out of any topic you dare to bring up (several attorneys in the family) and one year they went OFF on two very different topics; breast-feeding, for one, and something political for the other. They tend to get really LOUD when they are trying to emphasize a point and it was a bit crazy for a while. I sat there in shocked silence! LOL It was all in good fun for them, but oh man - I thought the roof was going to blow off the house with the rising tempers! Now I'm used to it but I still don't participate.
Ring ~ glad you are having an easy day today :)
Val ~ have fun at the parade!
J ~ sounds like your family has fun together :)
I hope we hear from JESS about her interview!! And where's peanut today?
LOL -- breastfeeding is not a dinner topic. that's hilarious! ( : and I too <3 thoss kiss cookies to death!
My brother is doing as well as he can. His 14 months is up (knock on wood) some time middle of December. How is that possible?? wow
I had insomnia (this morning?) Fell asleep at 10, woke up at 1:15/30, got up around 3:30. Kitchen is clean, dishes put away and reloaded, dog has had bath, I jogged, and showered. woo . productive, I guess. now coffeeing and dvr'ing guilty pleasure day time shows. lol --- I saw 3 deer and a fawn run right across the road in front of me this morning while running!! woo hoo, wild life! ( :
have a good holiday with your fams! things to be thankful for........... second chances (at SO MANY things.....<3 )) a healthy body and mind, enough abundance I have choice, and all the people and animals who love me. LOVE YOU< LADIES!!!!!
MMM kiss cookies. It is only 10 and i am hungry for lunch lol, too bad lunch is not til noon.
Breastfeeding....When I was breastfeeding Phebe there was a HUGE debate at a family gathering about it. but it was more specifically about me, and whether or not people were comfortable with me whipping my boob out and feeding her with everyone there. Some people insisted I leave the room and nurse her seperated from everyone, even if I would have been covered up with a blanket and others were like no its natural.... boy was I red.
Hope everyone has a fantastical Thanksgiving!!
