Hello all....

This website changed my life. ( : Sounds overly dramatic, but it is true. I hope to look back a year or so from now and think, "I am forever grateful......"  Anywho, I think my favorite part of cc, aside from all the great educational information, is the overwhelming support and friendship I've found here. I guess most of my life I've only trusted and truly befriended a handful of unique women---I hold my friends in the highest regard and do not take camraderie lightly. The women I have met here are seriously my spiritual twins! I always felt very alone in my weight loss journey----no more!

That said, I think my cc girls, and you know who you are, are the best! ( :   My buddies, my pals, my soul sisters =P Chat away to motivate yourself and others! ( ;

missing you too   ( :

I am just not in a good place right now.   Trying not to infect my friends.

anyone wanna come over and hug me?   =P

hi girls

crappy, boring night, but I am still swimming....  how are all of you?

It's been really quiet here lately.  I miss you all.

Sorry for being MIA girls. I always read journals then come over here and latley by the time I come over here Parker needs me again. He is feeling better though, so He is happy to play by himself for a while now. Before he wanted to be cuddled all the time because he was feeling so bad.

Where is everyone else?

So girls, new year faring ok? I am sorry you are not doing very well Olivia. I still think you need to find something that gets you out of the house, be it volunteering or working or something. It might not be ideal, but it will be better than sitting at home feeling lonley.

I agree with Peanut, Olivia you've got to find something to occupy your time.  Make a date with your mom for next weekend to learn how to sew some little stuff.  Then you can make them in the evenings and give them as gifts for b-day and christmas!  But I more think a job would do you better.  Just something like a cashier or waitress to get you out in the public with people and chatting and earning some money.  You know you sit home and dwell at nights, so break the cycle and do something different.  Don't be afraid to infect us with sadness, you can't bottle this up.  Let it out and let us help.

Peanut~ glad P's feeling better, I hope you get better very soon!!  My 2009 is going good! D's been really helpful around the house lately since I've been working crazy long days at work lately.  He has dinner all made last night when I walked in!  Baked ziti with hamburger and pepperoni, yum!  He usually complains when I work late but he's been really supportive this past few weeks which is really nice.  And I invited him to our Relay Kick-off next week and he didn't turn me down flat, he said he'd see.  That's a step in the right direction!

Well ladies, another long busy day.  I had a meeting with the board of education this morning to try and get at least one team from every school in the school district for Relay.  I think it went well but I almost forgot about it!  Luckily one of my people called to ask where the meeting was and reminded me because I totally would have forgotten!  But we got there and it went well.

Hope you all have a great day!

know you are right, abbs.   just lazy

I do think the sewing lessons would be good. ....  and distracting.

hope all of you are well and happy.   thanks for all your undying love and support.   I'd be LOST without you....

Hi ladies!!  I finally got around to journals and commenting today!  BUT I got a HUGE portion of my work done on one document.  Now I just have to update the other document which is going to take me DAYS and that will mess up the one I just fixed, but only the numbers (I think).  But it's a shared document and my other co-worker needs it more than I do to fix things so I said I'd update document 2 even though I'll still have to edit it again later.  It's a never ending process!  Everytime I fix one thing, I find two more wrong!!

Hope everyone had a good day!  I'm actually going to sneak out while no one is looking to be home at 5:30 tonight!!  I haven't been home for dinner before 9pm in the past three days!!!  Yay dinner with D!

YAY indeed!   hug him tight and show him you love him, lucky girl.

Hey ladies!

Sorry I haven't been in here much. I've been sooo busy at work, and then being sick on top of that isn't helping. I hope I'm now on the mend from the illness. Every time I get this weird brochial cold thing, I'm afraid I'll end up with pneumonia again. (had it twice in the past - ick.)

Ring, I am glad you're going to get home in time for dinner with D!! Have fun with that :) And, I saw your note today and I want assure you that I am quite pleased with the .5 pound loss. It's just that to apply for the job I want, I have to meet a weight requirement. It's 26 pounds away now. But in the last two years, I've only lost about 32 pounds. So I'm afraid it'll take at least that long for the next 26, you know? And I don't want this to be my whole life.

Janay ~ You're doing great. Give yourself whatever time you need. I liked what Ring wrote in your journal today.  She's a wise one ;) And we're here for you always!!

Peanut ~ How are you feeling now?? I hope you are better, too.

hope all of you are well and happy!!!!

I had a decent night if BORING.   I did get some stuff done like walk Sugar dog for 30 minutes and bake potatoes / sweet potatoes for lunches/dinners this week since I am pretty much bare cupboards now.....    OMG --  the sweet potato was to die for.....    try one soon if you haven't in a while....    I challenged someone else too, but try a food you have never tried or haven;t had in a while.  I am totally adding s.p.'s to my rotation of meals.    ( :     what are some foods to try?  I am pretty adventurous with fruit and veg....

how are we all doing on the water a day, cardio a day, 2 f/v a day???

hang in there all you sickies, cheer up Jess -- mom will come around. they always do, and daizy -- you can do it!   OH -- and lucky abbs with D being sweet and thoughtful.  ((((HUGS))))

have a good Thursday!

ahhheeeehheeee, funny story I forgot to tell...  I also cooked a couple of turkey birgers, one for dinner and one for lunch today.  You broil them.  My aluminum foil was being a pain, tearing off smaller and smaller because I messed it up from one end, so finally I said F this and just used a glass baking dish.   WHen I got done with cooking, I put it in the sink to soak and was rinsing it with the sprayer, and it EXPLODED!!!!!!  seriously.... I looked around expecting to see a cat impaled on something.   Lucky me.  No one got hurt, not even me, but WOO .  wake up, O....   Tongue out

Olivia~ wow, I'm gald you didn't get hurt!!  I had a glass measuring cup explode once.  I was boiling water in the microwave to make jello and when I set it on my cold granite counter it cracked and popped and broke.  It was a mess and the measuring cup was really old but it was still kinda scary!  I will have to give sp's another try.  I only like them with sugar and cinnamon on them which defeats the health purposes of them!

I had a very relaxing night in front of the fire with D last night, yay!!  I have TWO flights today which will take me away from my document updating and they've asked me to come in tomorrow which is my Friday off.  I guess I'll just soak up the money because we need it bad!!

I'm SO ready to do taxes!  We always get a refund because of the house and we this year we're buying a shed, a big shed, to hold our lawn mower (riding lawn mower from Grandma's house and regular one) and all the other lawn stuff that's cluttering up our garage right now.  I'd rather out the mustang in the shed so I can have my car back in the garage but whatever!  At least he drove it a little more before the weather turned cold.  He better drive it every day this summer or I'll be pissed and make him sell it.  We paid WAY too much money for that car to sit in the garage!

Daizy~ I understand where you're journal was coming from, I was just teasing!  It would be frustrating to have a job hanging on your weight, that sucks.  You're doing all the right things so just keep up with the hard work.  Did you switch gyms?  Maybe a new trainer at a new gym will have a new suggestion?  Have you tried boxing ever?  I know it sounds like a boy thing but it's a CRAZY good workout, arms/back/legs/abs and cardio all while punching things and getting out frustrations.  Just something to think about.  Or how about pilates/yoga?  Does your gym offer those classes?  I know they don't burn fat like cardio but they are so good for you to do in combination with cardio.  Sometimes you gotta change up the routine!  That's what I'm doing now with V and it FEELS better.

Peanut~ how are you and P feeling today?  Are you still waitressing?  What ever happened with your old boss from your other location?

Hope everyone else is having a great day!

Whoa O! That is a scary moment! It's happened to me when I've been out to eat - someone put ice in a glass that hadn't cooled down enough then added water and by the time I got it and lifted it up, the bottom shattered! Glad you were not hurt.

And I'm doing great on the fruits/veg and only OK on the water. No cardio for me the past few days because of this virus. I'll be back to cardio this weekend though.

And I LOVE sweet potatoes! Have you made them into baked fries? A little chili powder/garlic salt/EVOO on them. Yum.

RING~ I love kickboxing! My new gym doesn't offer classes. I can't afford the gym here that does - it's too expensive. It's almost time for another round of trainer for me, too and who knows what they'll be like at this new place. I think I need to jog more. That might help. But you're right! It does suck that the job has a weight thing attached! I mean, really - you see plenty of govt/military types at your job. Is EVERYONE in shape??? LOL Good luck with the flights today! I know it stinks to lose your Friday off, but extra cash is good AND we like to have you in here :) Totally selfish, but there it is ;)

Peanut ~ Any better today?

Val ~ where are you??

Jess ~ How's Mom?

Hi ladies!  I'm here at work late again but getting lots of good work done.  Hopefully I'll be outa here around 7-ish and home to who knows what for dinner.

I did feel really lucky to be ok and all the animals too, who always mill around the kitchen at my feet while I cook. SCARY

OMG --  I wish I had not already plain old baked that other sweet potato....   baked fries with garlic and chili poder sound YUMMY ---  next time for sure.....

hope all you sickly chicks get well soon, and all the stressors disappear too.  =P  (((((LOVE AND HUGS))))  I am off to walk the pooper dog for a second night in a row on top of running both mornings -- go me!

Olivia~ you look FANTASTIC in that outfit!!  Love the new pic!  Yay for walking the doggie!  I'm sure Sugar loved that!  Sounds like you have a busy weekend planned.  At my fancy shmancy cooking class she put lavender oil (edible of course) on the sweet potatoes with season-all spice and they were really good!  She also put lavender seeds on them but you can probably skip that part :P.  Sometimes they just get too fancy, where on earth am I EVER going to find edible lavender seeds?!  Anyway, the point was to have a little sweet and a little salty on there and they were good.  But the chili and garlic sounds good too!  I'm going to get a sweet potato at the store this weekend (if I get there).

Daizy~ how are you feeling?  I LOVE the pic of you all dressed up!  Your face looks like you've lost weight from the other pics.

Peanut~ how are you feeling?  I hope you got that much needed rest the other night and you're feeling better!

Val~ how's your new church stuff going?

thanks, abbs -----   appreciate it.   ( :

edible lavender, who knew?  fancy cooking anyway....

hope all of you have a rocking awesome day!!!!!

Edible lavendar reminds me of the movie... Simply Irresistable.

Sorry, I am not a good forum girl lately.  How is everyone's friday?

Crazy busy but I finally got everyone to leave me ALONE so I could get all of my changes done without interruptions.  So I finally have alone time and here I am on cc when I have SO MUCH to get done!  I'm much rather troll the forums though!  Hope you're all having a great Friday!

Tongue out

Hola Chicas! Can I just tell you how much my husband rocks? He took the day off of work today so I could get some much needed rest and relaxation and maybe finally get better! Whatta man! (ANyone remember that En vogue song ? Man I used to love me some En Vogue. I wish I still had that CD. )

ANYWAY. Edible lavender seeds eh? Do they give you lavendar breath? Weird. LOL. I hate sweet potatoes. Sorry girls. They creep me out.

Anywho,  I think my scale is broken. this week I suddenly weighed in at 173.5 which is way down. I've been upping my water and veggie intake, but still I was at like 176 ish. And this week I've gone from 173.4 to 172 to 171.5. Which seems wonderful, but really fast.  Huh.

Alright D and I are off to go play with Parker!
