Hello all....

This website changed my life. ( : Sounds overly dramatic, but it is true. I hope to look back a year or so from now and think, "I am forever grateful......"  Anywho, I think my favorite part of cc, aside from all the great educational information, is the overwhelming support and friendship I've found here. I guess most of my life I've only trusted and truly befriended a handful of unique women---I hold my friends in the highest regard and do not take camraderie lightly. The women I have met here are seriously my spiritual twins! I always felt very alone in my weight loss journey----no more!

That said, I think my cc girls, and you know who you are, are the best! ( :   My buddies, my pals, my soul sisters =P Chat away to motivate yourself and others! ( ;

HI!!!!!!  I'm back!!

Olivia~ that totally SUCKS about that stupid jerk and your car!!  I hope the insurance is quick and fair for you.  Other than that, how is everything?  What do you want to accomplish before your summer is over?  My mom (an elementary school secretary) started back to work yesterday so it's almost time for school to start!!  At least you will be back to a routine and a set eating schedule which always helps me.  I can't be left to my own devices with food around!

Well, we had a crazy busy fun weekend even though we were both sick.  I'm teaching swim lessons from 5-7 every night this week and next, then Relay For Life meetings start, vacation in October which I REALLY want to look good for because I'll be seeing a LOT of friends so back to counting and really committing.  I admit it, I've slacked for a while so now it's nose to the grind!  After my lessons I'm going to swim some laps and try and eat healthy!  I count on you girls to hold me to that.  And I will only admit to you that I ate FOUR double stuffs this morning to finish up the baggie my mom gave me, I'm aweful!  Chipotle for lunch is two steak tacos and a handful of chips and tons of water to wash it all out.  Hopefully get to the grocery store tonight for fruit, veggies and sammich stuff for the rest of the week!

I want to see my scale hit and stick to something close to 166 again before school starts on Monday.  other than that, I am just biding my time, especially now stuck at home.  Reading a lot --  Lee CHilds.   

I hate being trapped. 

EDIT TO ADD AN UPDATE:   actually, do you remember like 5 weeks ago when I was worried about not working out/eating too much/being at home, and we discussed a schedule, abbs?   I would say it has worked.  I have taken off from workouts maybe 2x since summer academy ended, and I have continued losing (slowly).   THanks!!!!
Olivia~ Schedules always help!!  I just looked at your new pics and seriously, you look SO great!!  I mean of course you're sexy, but you just look beautiful!!  Those jeans and skirt fit like a glove and just your face beams with pride!!  Don't forget that smile and feeling when the scale shows a stupid number.  You're doing all the right things so just be patient, you tend to lose a bunch and then plateau (even a 166-173 bounce I consider a plateau over time) and then you lose a bunch more. 

Oh and my dad just gave me a Lee Childs book and says he really liked it and will read more of them, he (or she?) is becoming very popular all of a sudden. 

And I had three tacos at chipolte for lunch but still just a few chips, maybe 7 and that's it.  We're getting kicked out of the office at 4pm today because they're building an addition onto our building and they're cutting the power to do work on it tonight.  So at 4pm I'm going to run to Staples and get 10 free folders (apparently there's a free folder thing going on) and then back to base to teach swim lessons, swim a few laps for myself and then home to put away clothes and stuff from vacation.  hopefully it will all go according to plan!

i admit, i lurk here a lot, but cannot post at work, and by the time i get home i am way tired to venture into the internet universe.

gosh.   I will be back in that world too soon, T --   Monday is oh so soon, and who wants to go back to work?   (hint:  not me)

BUT it is good for me.   I know it. 

Here is my verbal commitment to myself --  anyone want to join me?   ( :

After returning to work,  I will:

  1. Keep a water bottle on my desk and drink at least 64 oz at work every day    (shoot for 100)
  2. Eat a snack on the kids' break at 10AM  (I HAVE TO DO THISthis year my plan period is the last hour of the day when a snack is useless to my body so late)
  3. Figure out if this will work, and if not, then make a protein shake or something for the ride to work/breakfast
  4. Pack a lunch or be prepared at school for healthy lunches
  5. Actually eat snacks and lunches
  6. Exercise before work at least 3 times a week  (jog or Bowflex)
  7. Exercise after work at least 4 times a week (bike and Bowflex)
  8. Try to take a walk with Sugar M-W-F
  9. Get enough sleep
  10. Stay positive and moderate, do not give in to stress

i think those a great goals. I would add that it will be good to reevaluate every month and see what needs to be tweaked or adjusted. that way if you fall off the wagon, instead of feeling defeated and potentially giving up, you are constantly adapting to your circumstances and really committing to a lifestyle change, rather than a number on a scale.
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO US!!!  Even Peanut chatted just for the occasion!!  We miss you Peanut but understand about work and being tired!!

Olivia~ Agreed, the plan sounds good and reevaluating every once in a while will be good too.  Pull out your hand dandy snack list to remind yourself of all the creative snacks you've come up with over the past year, your list was quite long and impressive!  I get in the same snacking slump after a while sometimes and then I'm like "oh yeah, I forgot all about that snack!!".

Jess~ sounds like you're in a great mood this morning, glad your afternoon off was so productive and fun!

Ok, so I can't even begin to tell you how happy I am to be back in a pool!!  It sounds SO crazy but I'm just so at peace in the water.  I'm always nervous the first day of teaching but of course as soon as I start I'm right back in my groove and comfortable again.  I had two parents come up to me and thank me and said I did a great job today.  The person who is co-teaching with me and taught the first two days is very nice, but she doesn't correct the kids.  When she says float, they glide and then start swimming and she just says "good job, back to the wall".  No, they're not doing it properly and you need to tell them what they're doing wrong so they can fix it.  But being the new person it's hard for me to correct people.  But I do have good swimmers which always helps, now it's just correcting their technique and I can help with that.

So totally back in my comfort zone, swimming laps before class and between classes.  I keep forgetting goggles though and I'm totally a crooked swimmer so that sucks, I gotta remember those tomorrow.

I DON'T WANNA WORK!!!!  I'm still in vacation mode...  I HAVE to get this done ASAP and I just don't wanna!  Oh well, guess I have to.

I've been SO good eating today, I'm so proud of myself!  No cheating so far and I have my cucumber left for afternoon snack that I'm DYING to eat now!  I'm trying to hold out until 2 though but I may not be able to make it.  At least it's like 10 calories for the entire thing though!  But they give me awful gas....:P
I'm totally going to sit here and talk to myself because I don't want to work and that's bad.  I broke down and at the cucumber and it was delicous!  But then I had a sweet craving and those STUPID famous amos cookies snuck into my office and into my tummy, grrrr.  BUT I logged them, all 280 calories of them because I will be accountable for my weight this time. 

So what else? 

Daizy~ We miss you and you and your family are in my thoughts.  I hope you are at least cherishing some quality time with your family in this time of sadness.  Love hard, laugh often and live life to its fullest.

I am fine according to doc.  Got some good info about my knees too.   She is sure what the cause is now, so when I see the ortho in a few weeks, I am going to push HARD to get what I need.  

Also, my car is not totalled  (supposedly).   Just a lot of peripheral damage -- not the frame et al, like I thought....  HOPEFULLY this is correct and true.

SO -- LOL  --How did I forget learning the word WOG. jelly?????      : D   I am such a dork.   Is today the anniversary of wogging in this thread?   xoxoxox

Olivia~ sounds like your knee is going to get fixed eventually, hope it's an easy fix and it's all better soon!  Good luck with your car, hopefully it is all just damage but be careful of lurking inside damaged stuff, one lose wire or hose can be really bad.  Any word from their insurance person yet?  And totally keep all your reciepts from the doc, you can use that to get more monies :P  I'm the milk-the-insurance-company-dry expert now a days.  Hey, they have billions of dollars sitting there doing nothing, I might as well get every penny I possibly can right?!

Yesterday was the 1 year anniversary for us using the word WOG!!! 

Olivia this is very good news!  I am happy to hear that things are going well and your car isn't totaled, now just make sure they fix it properly...

My car was brand new (not even the first payment on it yet) and I was re-ended... The car hasn't been the same since... Not that I even had a chance to get to know it, since I only had it for 3 weeks, boy did that upset me. 

Abbs - I too was talking to myself yesterday... Still trying today, since I am not in the mood to work, ugh!!!
