I heard that Yakult has a lot of benefits for a good metabolism, and so i started to drink it. But, does it really does help? I ask because it contains 75 calories per serving and I don´t know if it´s worth it.
Answer
Yakult does not benefit metabolism or help with weight loss, although it is still good for you. Yakult is a probiotic beverage made by fermenting a mixture of skimmed milk with a strain of bacteria Lactobacillus casei Shirota. Human studies have shown that drinking Yakult daily may balance the digestive system and improve immune function. Probiotics are live microorganisms which confer a health benefit when used regularly. They are sold as conventional foods, usually in the dairy case, and as dietary supplements. The various probiotic foods contain different bacteria and should not be expected to act the same.
