They really need our support! Down 1-2 is no fun. Gotta win it tonight.

I think I might have to break my calorie count for today and crack open a couple brewskis ;)

The person I'll be watching with will, however :)  We'll be having some beers as well, won't kill ya, just don't overdo it :)

I took a 1/2 hour lunch just so I could leave early to be home in time to watch the game. LET'S GO YANKEES

Oh and figures there would be a red sox fan in here trying to bring us down. It's all good though. When we face them again I know we will crush them.

Haha, I'm another Red Sox girl! 2 great Sox games in one weekend, life does not get any better (except when the Yankees lose! hehe)

Man, we look awful tonight.. Only the 6th inning, but we're getting owned..

man, I might just get as much satisfaction out of Joe Torre getting fired as I did out of the Red Sox winning the 2004 world series!

I think it's disrespectful for Red Sox fans to come in and gloat. It's like wearing a Red Sox jacket to a Yankee game or a Yankee hat in Fenway. Disrespectful. True Red Sox fans would want actually the Yanks to win tonight so they could fight em fair and square: face to face.

Baseball is supposed to be fun.

Meh, pretty dejected after that loss. It's okay, though. It's not nearly as bad as the 2001 World Series game 7 loss right after the towers fell... I cried for days after that. I still love my Yankees and I look forward to a stronger 2008. Pinstripes -- always and forever!

Don't see the problem with cheering for your team when they're at an away stadium.  Would be pretty dull otherwise.

It's also not the Red Sox's fault that the Yankees couldn't beat the Indians.  It's the Yankees' sucking that prevented a face-to-face matchup.  Red Sox did their job to get to the CS; the Yankees didn't have the muster to do the same.

hey jdroller, at least you're a good sport. you can't blame us sox fans for gloating just a little :) a sox/yankees series would have been a lot of fun, but i just couldn't bring myself root for them!

they put up a pretty good fight at least, and hey, you got beat by a good team!  

oh, and nycgirl, you're joking right? disrespectful?! that is the most ridiculous thing i've ever heard! if a yankees fan comes to fenway park, i sure hope they wear their yankees gear. and if i went to yankee stadium you better believe i'll be wearing my sox gear. there's nothing disrespectful about supporting your team, no matter where they are playing. a true fan would know that.

I'll always be a good sport about it. It's just baseball, eh? I think the rivalry's more fun if it remains a friendly rivalry and not a bitter enemies flamefest.

I look forward to a good ALCS. You guys will probably sweep them.

Well jdroller, my buddy is all dejected with ya, she was really hoping for a yankee win.  I agree jules...how many times have I seen the away team's fans (or been the away team's fan) running around in any stadium, ballpark, what-have-you and had fun with a friendly rivalry throughout the game.  Dang, often enough we all end up at the bar having a beer together later anyway...What's disrespectful about that?

Granted, you don't try to honestly insult people rooting for the home team when you're there, that's rude.  As long as it's all in fun I don't see the issue :)
