was anyone else disappointed with "the half-blood prince"?
i found there to be many scenes that weren't in the book, and to boot they barely BARELY touched on the whole "half-blood prince thing"!! it did get a bit exciting at the end, just enought to maintain my anticipation for "the deathly hallows"...but give me a break, what a waste of time...what a shame to butcher such a great story. i guess rolwing doesn't care much about keeping the story line now that she's made her millions, eh?
Disappointed in Harry Potter half blood prince Movie![]()
I felt like someone went "Hay we've got a huge Harry Potter following so lets do a so, so job but lets make the end really good so they will come back for #7."
The only reason I will be buying this one when it comes out on DVD is to complete my set.
They have been cutting so many little, seemingly insignificant things out of the movies for quite awhile now. Unfortunately, those "insignificant" things come back to play a much larger role in later books. So, they can't just throw them into the movies because the backstory isn't there (for a good example of this, look to Dobby! I'm wondering how the heck he will be included in Deathly Hallows, since we haven't seen him since 2nd movie!).
That's why the movies are getting further removed from the books (that and length, of course).
Yeah, I've been hearing that a lot.
I basically tried to take the movie and just enjoy it for what it was. But oh yeah, it was difficult to not stand up, point at the screen and proclaim, "That's not what happened!!"
