i just sent my revised thesis off to be printed, so that it can be submitted for defence tomorrow.  man, that was painful!

edit: make that "submitted tomorrow for defence." the actually defence won't be for six weeks.

already started.  i'm going to get drunk here, in my pajamas.  getting dressed is too difficult.

i can't believe how much more exhausting brain work is than physical work.  i think i'll be a lumberjack in my next life.

I think I might even forego the pajamas and get drunk naked in a bubble bath.  I've still got a few years to think about it though.  I think my topic is almost there, and even that scares the crap out of me.

Does everyone have to do a thesis or is it certain fields/subjects? I'm not even sure completely what a thesis is. I mean, I know what the word thesis means...

cpt, not everyone has to write a thesis. depends on the discipline and program, and even within those, sometimes there are options (typically a practicum project and report, which is just a smaller version of a thesis, and not quite so independent).

a thesis can take a lot of different forms: mine is a small qualitative study.

Don't get too excited.  I'm pretty sure I'm going to be looking at the changes in representations of Russian pagan imagery in folk embroidery over the Soviet period.  Whee!
