Felt pretty good about that =] Started the 3rd at 5'5" at 149 (according to a bmi index i was border line overweight and on the bad days if i weighed 150, i crossed the line into being overweight...this was an eye opener) and now im 137. this is going better and easier than i had expected. i watch what i eat but i eat what i want but limit the servings just a little bit more and exercise and definitely will hit my goal before my goal date. then i really wanna get some tone and detail in my muscles for when my bf comes back from iraq in december. he's been working out like crazy and figured i join in that trend so we'll have a big reveal when we finally see each other.

i sleep better, feel more awake during the day, my color is better, and sounds corny but even feel prettier >.< and no more muffin top with my favorite shorts (ewwie).

good luck to you guys!!!

wow.. I know that feeling.  I hang around 148 - 152  and have been for years.  every now and then I get down to 140 and wow.. it is a big difference.. So according to the BMI I am overweight.  I just keep butting it on again.  I need to cut down on my portions I think that is my problem.. I love to eat alot at one time.  But dont do it alot but know that is my weakness because I do eat well.

good luck on your last few pounds and your finding that muscle tone for your Boyfriends return home .    You will look great for him.

No more muffin top.  Me either!  What a great feeling that is.  After giving away all but 2 pairs of shorts that were too big there's no going back to size 12.  It's been two weeks and I've lost 7 lbs.  I've been measuring my protein portions and cut out all carbs.  Just lots of veggies and protein....squeezing in 6 meals a day takes planning but I'm feeling great.

Once you incorporate some weight training you'll be just as buffed as your BF.

Hello! My name is Lindsey and I have been on  calorie count for a few short weeks. I am having a problem losing weight big time. I've had to babies within the last 4 years the youngest being 7 months. I had csections with both and I'm losing my tummy but not any weight. I work out like crazy and started that about 6 weeks ago. I do hip hop abs, richard simmons and yoga. I also go to the gym and do the elliptical and lift a little. Can someone please help me.

Hi Lindsey:)

I can certainly understand with having babies within a short amount of time can be frustrating when you want to loose weight.  I can not speak for myself, as I have not had kids yet, but I am 32 years old and have been doing calorie count for about a month and so far I have lost 6 pounds.  I write down EVERYTHING iI  eat which has helped me realize what foods I am putting into my body.  I try to restrict my calories from 1500-1800 a day.  I also goto the gym 6 days a week, somedays I do kickboxing and on the other days I do strength training classes, which I think that has really helped.  I am very concious NOW about how many calories I consume, where as before I didn't care!  I remember I would do an hour kickboxing  work out, then come home and eat a fried chicken sandwich, fries, and a large sweet tea at 9:00 at night, and I wondered why I couldn't loose weight.  To me this is a lifestyle change, not only increasing the amount of time I spend at the gym, but eating also more fruits and vegetables instead of junkfood.  How many  calories a day are you on??

Right now im eating anywhere between 1500-1900 cals a day. I cut my cals down big time when I first started and got really sick. I had lost 6 pounds in 2 weeks but the wrong way. I even stopped drinking soda. I was drinking anywhere from 3-6 a day. When you think about it thats 300-600 cals a day cut down. Me and my husband went out and bought the wii fit and it's helped a lot too. I think im gaining muscle and thats why im not losing any pounds. My tummy is shrienking which is good but id like to see the pounds come off too. I weigh 211 now and trying to get down to 180 again.

thanks so much for the replies!!! definitely made me feel good and it's awesome to hear stories from other people, especially people in my weight range in height.

huneebunn, what i do is completely change my lifestyle but i'm better for it. the first week i dropped five pounds (and got that angry thumbs down) because i stopped drinking sodas, started drinking water (so no more water weight) and i go to the gym about an hour after work everyday (nothing intense, just to get moving) and lastly and more importantly i eat better, eat less, and only indulge in those sinful brownies or icecreams occasionally.  i really do pay attention now to how many calories i eat and i pay more attention to what is really a serving.  it's crazy how many servings i was eating before.  also, it was hardest cutting back my servings because my stomach wasn't used to it but after a while it shunk down and got easier to reduce my portions to a healthier amount.  plus, i've learned to slow down, drink a glass of water to fill up a bit more, and really enjoy my meal instead of scarfing it down
