Exactly two months ago, I was 150 pounds. I weighted this morning at 139.5!! I know most of it must have been water weight, but that's still cool! I'm so proud of myself, I just had to say it!
Wahoo to you!!!!! Congratulations 10.5lbs is fabulous. Use the tools on the site, make good nutritional choices and exercise properly and the world is yours for the taking.

I am proud of you too! That is a huge loss! Keep up the good work!
Your buddy in weight loss,

What did you do to lose your first 10 lbs? What kinds of food did you eat?
That awesome! I started at 150 and I'm still at 150. It doesn't appearantly just go away once you start CC. Great job and thanks for remotivating me. :)
Way to go, it doesn't necessarily have to be water weight.
I joined NO S (a system I read about through a recommendatin by the nutritionist here) on April 28, weighing 154.
Have eaten three normal sized meals a day every day - splurged more on the weekends and weigh 138 this morning.
16 pounds in two months, the recommended 2 pounds a week.
So, your weight loss is probably going to hold.
Keep it up...

I have been at a plateau for 5 weeks, not cheating and exercising an hour 5days a week! any suggestions??
Congratulations! All that hard work is showing!

Great job! I'm neck-in-neck with you! I started at 153 lbs and weighed in last Thursday at 139. Continue to eat well, track what you're eating, and get moving as much as possible. It's only been a couple of weeks of me really moving hard and breaking a sweat, and it's been a great motivator, being able to BREATHE through my running.
Drink plenty of water!
My secret tip on snacks: 1 cup of frozen grapes or Smart Pop popcorn, when I want something "sinful". Curbs my appetite.
Keep it up! Can't wait to hear more progress!
Woot! Same here! Started at 155 lbs and now I'm 138!
We should definitely track our weight loss together. What's your goal weight?
my goal is 125. I started 8 weeks ago at 158 and am stuck at 150 ( sometimes I even gain 2-3lbs in a day on weekend) then it takes me the entire next weeek to get that 2-3 lbs off again.
congrats shorty cat!! Thats awesome. For poodlepower..I joined a gym for the first time in my life and also started counting calories. I lost 5lbs in two weeks and then nothing for 2 weeks. I started reading blogs and most said to change it up, so I did. I took a cheat day, I was still in the deficit w/ my calories, but ate about 500 over (my daily intake is 1250 and I ate 1750), don't ya know, the scale moved. Also, you may be over working, if you are doing an hour a day, try and do 30 min intervals (this came from a trainer at the gym). Got to fool your body. Good luck!!
thanks nayp. I lost 7 lbs in the firs 3 weeks then fluctuated up & down over the next 5. think I may have been starving my body by reducing calories below 1000/day at times and making it think it needed to hold onto fat. ( this also happened when I had a health club membership and worked out vigourously- spinning 2x week. weight training 2x week. and cardio 2x week.
I do have to trick the body and feed it enough to make it work properly: I'm not giving up.
That's fantastic! I am currently at 150 and 5'2" and want to lose. How many calories are you eating each day? And what types of foods are you cutting out anything in particular? Exercise routines? Any tips or encouragement would be so very helpful.

Hi Daisy! Congrats on deciding to change your life. I'm doing 1250 calories/day. The first couple of days it was really hard, but then I started being creative and making better choices. I haven't really cut anything from my diet. In fact, my downfall is icecream and I make sure I save enough so that I can have a scoop every night. I'm down 9lbs in 6 weeks. I'd say the best piece of advice I could give is to weigh/measure EVERYTHING you put in your mouth. I even eat potato chips, I count out 1/2 serving and put the rest away. As for exercise, do what works for you. I do 30 min everyday, whether its lifting weights or walking the dog. Good luck!
