Finally Finally Finally..... I have been having trouble over eating after I get off workfor months and for the last three days I haven't..  I eat very well during the day, but the I get off work and feel like I'm starving.  I have a snack, and another and another because i feel so hungry that i can't possibily wait for dinner.  And in my head it would be like torture cooking food being that hungry.  So i eat to many snacks and then cook dinner and eat that too.  BUT for the last three days i have been eating a very healthy snack (only one) and then waiting for dinner.  It might not seem that great of an accomplishment to some but I am pretty proud of myself..  GO me...

That's fabulous! Way to battle on!
Every journey begins with a step...and you've taken THREE! Really, that is great. Habits can be really hard to break. I got into a habit of eating too much in the evening over the holidays. Every night we had 'something sweet'. Just this week I've finally stopped doing that every stinking night so I understand why you feel good about cutting your afterwork frenzy to a reasonable snack. That's even better than eating nothing, you're really exercising portion control. Yay, you!

That's great, keep it up!

If you're starving by the time you get home, can you bring a snack to work for mid-afternoon?  I find an apple helps me get through, or a yogurt, but I have a fridge available.

Thanks for the advice!!!!!SmileI have found that if i plan my meals for the day it is easier to do instead of scrambling after work to make dinner and not knowing what your going to make.  and i also have been trying some recipes on here.  Some turn out GREAT and others AWEFUL.  Its a pretty new experience and it suprises me how excited i get for the little things

Even the little steps are a step in the right direction.  You are aware of your eating and you are aware of why.  Can you eat before you get off work and then another small snack afterward?  That way cooking your meal won't feel quite like so much torture.

I get excited over the little things, too.  I am not dieting.  I am changing the way I look at food and changing my lifestyle to a healthier lifestyle.

Thats is great... Give your self some credit were credit is due... Be proud of it...Little steps count toward a big step.....I wish you continued successWink

Thanks for all the support and advice
