yet another birth control question
I have been using the nuvaring for about 6 months now and I really like it. my periods are like...2 days and sooooo light. its awesome.
I havent gained any weight at all but I think it is affecting me trying to lose weight. I havent lost one lb in the last 6 months even tho im working out, eating right, and i quit drinking alcohol completely.
Does this mean that I should eat less than what CC recommends? I know that the tool cant take into account every little thing (such as birth control) and that is why I am wondering this.

In all honesty, that possibly could be why you haven't lost the weight. You're lucky you haven't gained though!...When I started using an oral contraceptive, I gained 7 pounds of water weight in 2 weeks and couldn't fit into my clothes even though I began eating like hardly anything in order to counteract it. When I ate less, I still didn't lose the weight and it got me into a really bad habit of eating less than 1000 calories per day, which after I went off the pill and started working out, caused me to lose my period for a year and 3/4 and I've only gotten it on my own last month..so it's months later and I'm still struggling with the mental and physical effects of restricting calories while on birth control.
So I'd say to just continue what you are doing and since the ring is not too much of a bother to you, except with losing weight (but you are not gaining for no reason) then stick with your routine and just eat as healthy as you want to and hopefully that will do the trick. But you may be at a disadvantage from being on something that's giving you more hormones to stop you from ovulating. I think hormones just do that in general though, if you've ever heard people complaining about not being able to fit into their pants a week or two before menstruation...and thats even without birth control affecting someone lol
