My hands look like baseball mitts!  My feet are OK, they aren't swollen.  But I had to take my rings off.  28 weeks pregnant-  is this normal?  I ate salty foods yesterday.  Pizza and frozen yogurt.  I'm going to keep hydrating-  is that the best solution?  And to stay away from salty foods??  I don't feel dizzy or like my BP's up-  not nauseaus or anything.  ANyone has a secret, safe rememdy for water retention???

The only remedy is delivery! LOL

Unfortunately, I went through the same thing, my sweeling finally went down about a month after I had my son. I drank water all the time, and tried to limit my salt, but it didn't do any good, I was still swelling in my hands and my feet.

Some women are just more proned to sweeling than others. I found relief for my feet with my combat boots (I'm in the military.) I hated my feet being out of them, b/c they would hurt more outside the boots than in.

Best wishes and congrats!

LOL -  thanks, but I have one more tri to get through from until delivery!!  Its in my hands more than my feet.  I took my rings off to be safe.  I get swollen during TTOM, so I guess it's double the bloating while pregnant. :(  It's not very comfortable.  I'm looking forward to putting my feet up when I get home.   Thanks for your well wishes!  I'll just keep drinking water and try to cut out as much sodium as possible.
I'm signed up with another website for weekly updates on the baby's growth.  I'm 22 weeks today, and today's email said that now's the time you might start noticing swelling and to just take your rings off until after delivery.  Mine don't feel tight yet, but I remember how tight they were toward the end of my first pregnancy.  And my legs and feet were so swollen!  It took several weeks after delivery to get back to normal, but you will get back to normal. :)

I have swelled with all of mine during the last trimester.  With my first I had tree trunks for legs and snow shoes for feet.  I thought my skin was going to split.  If its going to happen I don't think we get much choice in it.  I just wore my Berkenstocks on the last hole in the buckle so they were big enough.
