Yikes!! SPRING BREAK WEDDING SURPRISE..drop at least 10lbs by April 3
Well I just got news that my sister is getting married on April 3rd.
She lives in Florida and we were going there for spring break, so being that we live in NY they decided to have their wedding when we already planned on being there. I would love to lose 25lb, but I know that it is not a healthy or reasonable goal, so I'm shooting for at least 10. Anyone want to join me on my mission?
Hey there, c-weed! I really need a partner to motivate me...I joined CC almost a year ago, lost about 10 lbs but never got to my goal weight, and now I'm almost back to where I started. I confess that I'm not so good about sticking with a group, but if there's just you and me and a few others, it will be great to have someone to be accountable to!
My overall goal is to lose 20 lbs, but I would love to make a mini goal of losing 10 lbs by Easter (April 12th), which is also only 4 days from my birthday.
Would you like to do weekly weigh-ins? I'd also like to check in with each other during the week to see how its going....I think the support and accountability will be a great boost and motivator.
Melinska,
I like your thought of working together it's a good motivator...keeps you honest to yourself and puts a bit of competition to keep the fire burning under our butts! We should do weekly weigh ins...forgot that idea how about we weigh in today & then post on Fridays?

I would really like to join too! My goal is 10 lbs...and like melinska said...I am not the best at sticking with groups! I did CC about a year ago and lost about 25 lbs then gained 17 back. I have dropped a few...but I need to lose about 10 more to be where I want to be! And I know my obstacles--lack of motivation to work out, alcohol (I just love my red wine...), and late night binging. What is everyone's exercise plan? I have not been to the gym in weeks...

im in! i cant weight til saturday/sunday b/c im at schoool but i have spring break then so ill weigh my start weight then. im probs about 110-112. my goal is 105 too clg7357.
I think we should put our height into, body frame type, and physical fitness level...I'm going to add to mine
For exercising, I am fairly active even though I have a desk job. I go skating/play hockey 2-3 times per week, and right now I'm also studying for a course at work so I walk on the treadmill (at a fairly good speed and varying inclines) while I study.
I'm not doing much for strength training (my bad, I know!). But I do have Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred, and I'd like to start doing it at least once a week until hockey is over and then do it more often.
Hi! This may be exactly the motivation I need!I just started CC last week with a goal to loose 10lbs. If I could accomplish this by April that would be increddible!
I have a desk job and a weekness for snacks
especially while sitting at my desk. I also go to school part-time and I need my peanut butter candy cakes and red bulls to get by in the morning
My boyfriend is supposed to be doing the CC with me, but I know he's not exercising and he's definitely not telling me all the things he's eating so he's not a very good support system!

Hi all -
I am new to CC and need to lose about 30 pounds. I had a baby 6 months ago and have lost close to 35 pounds already. Can I please join in - I need MOTIVATION big time. I just started tracking calories and working out but I desperatley need to get this show on the road as I too will be in a wedding in May. Thanks
March 3rd 154 pounds ( medium build 5' 5")
will weigh in Fridays -
Count me in! My husband will be visiting, after 12 weeks,on 4/1 ( we are living in two different countries for the year -still happily married after 27 and a half years). He said he had a dream that I had lost weight. I'd love for it to be true.
I am 5'7", medium build, fairly active (I go to the gym almost daily), and want to lose 40-45 lbs. I sure could use this 10 lb jump. I'm so frustrated at this weight (I've been overweight for 6 years, but was always thin before that).
Thanks for letting us all join in on your quest. Good luck and strength to all of us!
March 3 183 lbs.
Hey everyone, nice to see we're getting a good group together here! I'm excited, this is my first time as part of a group so I hope we can help keep each other motivated.
I've tried losing the weight quite a few times before, but it takes a certain level of discipline and determination (which I haven't had everytime) and this time I'm feeling VERY determined. I CAN do this. And you can too!!
An extra motivator for me is the fact that I met a really nice guy a couple of weeks ago when I was snowboarding...and we're just friends right now (ahhh, that cliched phrase!) but I really want to look my best when I see him again...whenever that may be.
wow i'm in! : )

can't wait to hear from you all on fridays!
oh and good luck ; )
well, I made it through day 1 okay. I realized at 3:30 p.m. that 'd already hit my calorie allotment- so I stopped eating until I went to bed. (It's much easier for me not to eat at all, rather than eat in "moderation"). I really wish that I could integrate eating a small meal and then stopping.
I did sneak a few morsels of mac and chz-when I served the kids dinner. (a tiny, tiny ammount of a super fattening food!)
noe I'm trying to get my kids out and get to the gym-
anyway, good luck for the day to all of you- khkvd
I'm in if i still can!!

This week has been going good for me so far...we're doing a "Lent Challenge" here at work until Easter, which means no candy, junk food (chips, etc.), or sweets (like desserts, cookies, brownies, ice cream) so with that and our little "Yikes!" group here, its making it a lot easier to stick with it!
I woke up at 5 yesterday morning and couldn't sleep, so I hit the treadmill for 45 minutes while I was studying, then showered and got ready for work. I never work out in the mornings normally, but it felt good. Then in the evening I did 10 minutes (lol, just 10 minutes) of the 30 Day Shred.
I'm trying to keep my calories in the 1400-1500 range, with one day of the week, usually Sunday, where I up it to 2,000 which is around maintenance level. It seems to be working pretty well.
How's everyone else feeling about the week? How's it going calorie and exercise wise?

Alright now!! I have had a hellacous past few days...that time of the month and as I'm getting older I am useless for at least 2 days when I have my period...going on a steady 3...hopefully tomorrow will be a new day! Hopefully I will have some good news to report by Friday...after reading every ones posts I'm really excited. Keep on keepin on.
Hi! I'd love to hear how you are all doing so far- I jumped into this little group right at the end of a number of sessions of weight loss coaching. It was very helpful, but I knew that I would still need support and a place to be accountable as I continue my journey.
Yesterday I learned that it is better to finish eating by a reasonable hour (7-8 p.m.). Even though I had calories left at that time, I should have eaten them earlier, I would have felt better this a.m.
does anyone have thoughts/experience w/this? khkvd
