Yikes! This has to be wrong right?!
I was then on the Maximuscle webite, as I use a few of their products, when I came across this page. If you click on the calorie counter tool on this page it opens up a pop - up box. insert you details and let me know if your results were as shocking as mine! Apparantly my daily calorie allowance is 995! I cannot believe a website would reccomend that!

Whoa! I didn't really change anything, as I'm not sure what some is, but it says 4160 for me! That is just way beyond too much for me!
Just over 600 calories a day. I think I would actually starve on their plan, LOL.
I think this calculator just expects you to put in safety measures yourself. It doesn't seem to have a cut-off factor, it just assumed that you know if you're 110lbs with 30% body fat and put in that you don't do any activity, you're going to have to eat 700 cal or something to eat it. It leaves you with the responsibility.
I think I rather like this calculator. ;)
It told me to eat about -250 calories. Sooooooooo, I think something is up with that site.
I think when you enter in your stats on each page, you need to hit "calculate" or "recalculate" - it doesn't update automatically. I'm guessing that's one problem. But clearly the program doesn't have any cutoffs, so I would depend on it for anything. Try www.phord.com/cc if you want a more reliable calculator.
Something's screwy. For losing 2 lbs a week (ha!), I need to eat 1754 cals, to lose 1.5 lbs a week I should be eating 1826 cals. Right now I eat 1400 +/- a day. This is accordance to the BMR calculator that was in a thread a while back and 1417 to be exact.
