HOW DO I CONNECT WITH OTHER YCCers?

You can either send them a message, reply to their post, or post in their journal if they have one. If there are other members that are like you, you can always create a group (a new thread with your group name) and chat away.

ARE THERE ANY RULES OR REGULATIONS?

All posts must be within the Posting Guidelines (which can be found at the bottom of each page when you are replying). Please do not post any unhealthy goals or posts looking for others that may have an eating disorder to buddy with. This is not allowed and these posts will be deleted.

It's kind of a backhanded compliment, in a way.  I like to look at the bright side of, they're probably trying to reassure that you're not fat/ugly/gross/whatever, but it always comes out condescending or somewhat enviously.  Just keep doing what you're doing - I'm sure it's great!  (Plus, you'll be a total hottie and then they'll really see why you were persistent about your goals.)

Don't get discouraged.  My favorite response is, "Well, I want to have kids someday.  I want them to be healthy.  If I can't show them healthy habits, who will?"  Even though I'm lightyears away from having kids, my friends usually take that response to have a noble goal in mind and shut up pretty quickly.  Another one I like is, "This is the only body I'm ever going to have.  I can take care of it, or I can trash it, but taking care of it will make it last longer, work better and keep me happier overall."

At your age and height, 107 is the minimum healthy weight according to the calculator...also, as you do get older or grow taller, the minimum healthy weight will increase.  You're currently 2 lbs over the minimum healthy weight for an adult of your height.  I'd recommend not dieting and start working on strength training.

Hey people, hoping to find some support! ;-)

I'm a girl who's

16 years old and

about 5'4. I weigh

126 pounds and I'm hoping

to drop down about 26 pounds.

Apparently, we all need a goal, but for me I don't care what my weight is. As long as I look and feel good, I don't really care.

I think that I'm a bit too chunky around the hips and thighs and could use some slimming down.

I definitely need to improve my eating habits (emotional eating - psht!) and be more active.

My family doesn't support me and my friends feel to embarrassed to actually come up with a weight loss plan, so please message me if you're interested!
