You are not gay or bi...These are choices that people make either because they are confused or in many cases abused. These choices are more prevelent these days because of Hollywood and others promoting this activity as normal, which it is not.If you have girl parts you are a girl and naturally that means you were created to someday be with a man, built the way he is to be with a girl.
This is the natural order of things and notice the post you have gotten are from those who have made the choice to go against the natural order of things... Misery loves company!!!
Please put this unnatural act out of your mind and be a kid as long as you can without worrying about sexual things. You are to young to make a life changing decision like this.
Wow... is this appropriate??? Especially since the OP was talking about someone else.
I could go on and on about how it happens in the animal world, and such, so it can't be unnatural, but really with someone with this attitude, I don't see the point in responding.... (and yet I am...)

Homosexuality and bisexuality is very normal.

The first time I suspected I might be bi was when I was thirteen. I don't think that's too early to have sexual feelings for women (or for men, either) but it is too early to follow through on those feelings, for the most part. One thing I fear (again, I'm saying this as a bisexual woman) is that the most prevalent media image of bisexuals, especially bisexual women, is that they are oversexed and will sleep with ANYONE. This is a terrible stereotype, and is a dangerous image to show young boys and girls who are starting to explore and question their sexuality.
Also, I believe that the next generation are going to grow up in a great world, with regards to sexuality and orientation. The number of people who discriminate against the GLBT community is rapidly dwindling as the number of people who JUST DON'T CARE grows. We are slowly but surely moving toward a world where parents will all (or almost all) tell their children "someday when you have a boyfriend or girlfriend..." Maybe this is a little over-optimistic, but I'm feeling good today. Happy PRIDE, everyone!

Yep! Heck, I feel this way about young boys and girls regardless of their sexuality. I think the media portrays sex in a horrible way...period. But I do see your point. Bisexuals and gays are often portrayed very badly. The few that I do know are not any more promiscuous than straight people. In fact, the ones that I know are either in a loving and committed relationship or are looking to find it. I think it's just that these days, young people are being told that they need to be having as much sex as possible with as many people as they can. And the problem is that real relationships should be based on so much more than just sex. Not everyone necessarily has to have sex with a bunch of random people (gay or straight) to know who they are attracted to.
Edited for clarity.

Homosexuality is immoral! It is contrary to God's Word.I kept this out of the original post and tried to speak sensably to a young girl.I had no idea there were so many that would lead her in to believing this sinful lifestyle is normal.God says in his word that it is an abomination unto the Lord. Not to mention unnatural. And these references to animals,we are not animals!
1. Eating shrimp and lobster is an abomination. Having sex with a woman on her period is an abomination. Talking back to your parents, planting different types of seeds in the same field, and cotton-polyester blend clothing is an abomination, while owning slaves is just dandy. There are A LOT of things that are supposedly "abominations" in the Bible, specifically the book of Leviticus, which just gets weird at some parts. Those animals made people sick back then because they had no proper way to clean them, having gay children meant no grandchildren and an end to the family name, and STDs are much easier to transfer when the woman is menstruating. None of those are problems anymore. You can't read the Bible without making interpretations, or we would never progress from the time period it was written in. The passing of time demands it.
2. So don't have gay sex. Are you going to insist it's moral for people to lie to spouses/boyfriends/girlfriends they'll never love in the way they deserve? People don't stop being gay, it's not a choice, it's been proven scientifically by straight geneticists with nothing to gain. Actually the more sons you have, the more likely it is the next will be gay, which is pretty interesting. Hating yourself for something you can't change, something that's decided for you in the end, is the most destructive thing you can do. And a God who preaches love and equality among all his children would never demand that.
3. Anything that didn't come from Jesus directly I have a hard time believing. Maybe I'm a bad Christian, or not a Christian at all, but that's how I feel.
P.S. Dieting is unnatural, meaning if you're on here chances are you were guilty of gluttony at some point. At least being gay isn't one of the 7 deadly sins.

All of the examples you use in your number one are old testement laws for the Jewish people in that time. But,the sinfulness of homosexuality carries on into the New Testement as a warning from the Apostle Paul in Romans 1:26-27 and 1Corinthians 6:9.
On your second point, obviously if homosexuality is an abomination unto the Lord then people are not born that way unless it is a birth defect as is mental retardation. It is a choice made at some point in that persons life. The good news is there is a way out. That way is an acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and savior,,and repentance. And scientist have not proven that homosexuals are born that way,it is simply not true that science has proven this. And God does teach us to love everyone, but he tells us to hate sin.
As for your third point,Jesus is a part of the holy trinity, the bible was written by men under the influence of the Holy Spirit. In fact in John 1 Jesus is described as the Word. Therefore everything in the bible is from Jesus.Rather you are a Christian or not is between you and God.But God is the same throughout eternity,he has never changed and neither has the meaning of his Word.
The point of sinning as with gluttony if you will,is turning from it and doing what is right with God.So dieting is an example of repentance and is a good thing. And as far as the seven deadly sins,I refer you to 1 Corinthians 6:9.

Wait, so god is the same throughout eternity, he has never changed and neither has the meaning of his word... But you don't follow the old testament... which is his word. Yet the ten commandments are in the old testament and Christians follow that... Sounds like you're a christian of the 'pick and choose' denomination to me.

Oh, since we're quoting scripture...
"Romans 1:24-27, NIV" Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.
Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.
In these passages it blatantly states that LUST was the sin, not homosexuality. The link I gave goes into further detail.
So long "rev".
*ps. Isn't this an odd topic to be discussing on a dieting website? Maybe this question should have been handed to a trusted adult the OP knows... not a forum of strangers?
It seems to me that if the conversation continues along these lines we'll have a yet another "debate" about religion that will eventually degenerate into a fairly standard liberal vs. conservative "argument" with nothing to do with the original topic. Regardless of your viewpoint on whether or not homosexuality is natural/sinful, I think we can all agree that the vast majority of people who come out as homo- or bi- sexual honestly feel that they are such and most of them will not be swayed by postings online claiming these feelings are unholy and/or the result of some shortcoming or trauma. As I interpret it, the point of this post is not to revisit the topic of whether said feelings have validity in general but whether - assuming they can be valid in general - they can be so when expressed at a young age.
That said, I personally don't believe that sexuality is a clear-cut matter of either/or. The concept that a matter so intangible and little-understood yet inherent to myself as an individual could be defined by three simple categories (i.e. straight, bi or lesbian) somehow doesn't to click with me. Building on "pirate_annie"'s excellent point: sexuality changes. People change. Especially as teen, a person has the right (and even, arguably, the responsibility) to re-invent aspects of him/her self based on the experiences (and hopefully wisdom) s/he acquires. A teen is undergoing the once-in-a-lifetime experience of transitioning from a dependent, needy child to an autonomous young adult with opinions and characteristics that set her/him apart from the people who raised him/her. It's only natural that exploring and declaring one's sexuality be a part of this process, and if a teen happens to do so at a younger age than her/his peers it could simply be a sign that that teen is a bit precocious.
One concluding thought, though: maybe people should stop getting so hung up on labeling themselves as a, b, or c. Maybe part of being an independent individual is realizing that no single aspect of what makes up who you were, are and will become will ever fit neatly into category a, b or c (or even d!) Most importantly, maybe we have to realize that these ways we choose to define ourselves are never going to definitively stay in one category.

max298,
Don't you think it's a little presumptuous of you to declare that those with homosexual preferences are confused or had been abused? Have you spent any time with anyone of an orientation different from your own, tried to get to know them, to understand them? From the looks of your post, I'm guessing not. I am a heterosexual young woman with several homosexual friends, close friends who I love and would do anything for: including defending them from high-horse riding people like yourself. You have no idea what is in their hearts and minds, the love they experience is in no way unlike any love that a heterosexual person might experience. To look down and cast judgement upon an entire population of people is fruitless and stupid, and just makes you come across as ignorant and hateful, which I am sure is not what you were going for. I get that you think this is a wrong in the world and maybe you'd like to change it. That's alright, everyone is entitled to their own thoughts and convictions. What I suggest is that you seek first to understand.
Hmm, so. To get back on-topic:
To say that you're bi is, as Robyn Ochs puts it, to "acknowledge that [you] have in [yourself] the potential to be attracted -- romantically and/or sexually -- to people of more than one sex and/or gender, not necessarily at the same time, not necessarily in the same way, and not necessarily to the same degree." So, the moment you realize that you have this potential, whatever you plan to do with it or do about it, it makes sense to me to consider identifying as bi. This could be as early as your very first experiences of romantic attraction.
What's more, it seems like it's easier to know for sure that you're bi earlier than you know for sure that you're gay or straight. After all, claiming either of those labels means saying that you're reasonably certain that you'll never be attracted to anyone outside of one gender - and it seems like that takes a pretty high standard of proof, no?

I went to your Bible revisionist site.It seems to me that the writer is giving opinion on the word of God and not rightly deviding the word.To try and say that Sodom and Gommorah was not judgement for homosexuality is a twisting of what the bible truly says.
The 2 passages you sight here, clearly show homosexuality to be a perversion and sin. Then you pull the word lust out of that and say it was all about lust. This is how many denominations have gone asrtay such as the Jehovah's Witness turning words around and changing God's word.I see how you try to shade the truth in your opinion, unfortunetly youngsters on this site won't be able to discern the way you pervert the word and may except a lifesyle as normal that is not.
When did I say I didn't follow the old testement? The anti-Christ link you provided clearly shows that that the old testement food laws were no longer needed but homosexuality carried on into new testement as sin worthy of not entering the kingdom of God.
No matter what you think, there is only one God and only one way to heaven and living in a sinful lifestyle will send you to Hell.Notice I did not say God would send you to hell, your decision not to follow Christ is what sends you to hell.
Now as far as a strange thread on a diet site,I was simply trying to protect an innocent young child from being decieved.(although after private conversations with her leave me unsure about her stated profile)
I don't think that it's right to say they can't be gay or bi! I am asexual, and I found it very offensive when people say "You are too young to decide that". Then why is it accepted that my friends are heterosexual. One of them flipped out on me when I said, "Do you think you're old enough to know you're hetero?". Really, do you want kids to just live not knowing their sexuality? Or give them the freedom and respect to say, " I am homosexual, and you're going to have to deal with it".
i came out when i was about 13 too.
i just always knew i was gay tho.
and when i came out, my bro said the same thing, how i'm too young.
but, when ur gay. u just know it, all ur life. i def knew i was different when i was like.. even only 8. i just didnt know there was a word for it and i didnt know other ppl might have felt the same kind of feelings.
that's stupid for ppl to say "ur too young to know." since when are you too young to know that 1 + 1 = 2. goodness. lol

I must say that it saddens me to know that so many have been convinced that homosexuality is normal and you born that way.You are not.Something in the the life of these young people has gone wrong.I have raised three children with the knowledge that homosexuality is a sin and it is wrong. They are all hetero. Many parents today(if they even raise their children instead of letting the school or TV do it )don't teach their children the way in which they should go.And the children at an early age see homosexuality being treated as normal everywhere they turn these days and they fall into that sin(or for you atheist deviant lifestyle).
When I was young I had only male friends and I was close to them, but I too was raised with the knowledge that I was created by God as a male and that the natural order of things was that someday I should be with a woman. But now a close friendship is confused with sexuality because of the sick culture we now live in.
I would bet(if I were a gambling man) that under close scrutiny all of the young people who think they are gay,a moment in their life or a person in their life made them choose the sin of homosexuality.I have had 3 professed gay man friends and every one of them was abused at a young age by a man and continued in it because of guilt and shame.Three out of three are pretty good odds.
You kids in here that think you are gay,you have been lied to.And you are more and more being lied to as this sick world accepts this deviant lifestyle as normal. You are just a kid and even though you think you know it all you don't.And the adults in here or in your life have also been deceived and many of them want to justify their deviance by creating more and more people who accept it.No matter how many people accept it,it is still wrong in God's eyes.
And to know you are hetero is natural and should be accepted at birth.
