Any young writers?

I was wondering if there were any teenage writers out there...
I would love to be published when I grow up. Writing means everything to me.

This is a thread where we can post links, talk, post works, critique, etc.

I'm not particularly fond of my own writing, but I very much so enjoy reading that of others. Do you have a writing website? I doodle around with poetry for a hobby and made a website, http://ramblingsthatrhyme.xanga.com, to house it. I'd love to read the works of other teens. I hope that you can fulfill your goal of being published...that'd be awesome.

Haha thank you, thank you. I feel that teen writers have a lot to offer... this is one of the most emotional stages of our lives after all.

I used to write poetry and I won third place in an international contest on poetry.com. I got a little bronze coin and the chance to get published in a big fat book but I never sorted it out. I know, I'm stupid..

I stopped with the poetry though and now I write songs :D

I come up with strange, obscure statements and I just smack them all together on paper.  I'm hoping to make a very interesting book out of it.

I am completing my Major Work in poetry for my Extension 2 English course at school,

I just finished my suite of poems yesterday and it's due at the end of August. :)

I would post it, but since it contributes to a significant proportion of my grade, i'm afraid of plagiarism.

I enjoy writing quite a bit, but I like reading better. Sometimes it's hard for me to get words onto paper and not make them sound cheesy, but sometimes I'm on a role. I won a writing contest two years ago from a major university in my city, and I got published in Teen Ink, the magazine.

I like writing in my journal more though, and I don't think I want to pursue a career in writing unless I become a journalist.

Wow! This thread was a great idea!  I love writing, reading, music, poetry, if it involves words it = amazing! 

Does anyone else here do NANOWRIMO?  I must say, it will kill me someday, I'm sure it will :-/ oh well, it's worth it!

I was nominated for a gifted writing program...unfortunately, it turned out to be sitting in front of a computer and writing for 6 hours a day. Uh, hello? I can do that at home. How about something INTERESTING?

I like writing...I've been published as a poet a couple times. I like prose, too, though.
