"You're So Skinny...

...you have to run around in the shower to get wet."

That is my best friend's favorite joke about me. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone else has any funny or mean things people have said to them about being thin or underweight.

''You have no forms and no butt''

Guess who said this...

My psychiatrist.

I saw my brother recently.

"So, what? You've gained like ten pounds."

"No, J. I've gained about 30."

"Yeah, right you have. What'd you do, stick it in your pocket?"

Don't you love siblings?

hugging you is like hugging a bag of spanners

you look like jack off the nightmare before christmas

Well, I'm not gaining weight, I'm losing it but my mom has been telling me that I've become "too skinny". She always comments that I'm anorexic looking because you can see my collar bone(which it's not even prominent). It really makes me mad. DX So because you can see my collar bone, that makes me too skinny? Nu-uh.

I think the one that hurt the most was when my dad hugged me and said "it's like hugging a skeleton". Cry

Yeah, dads are hard. My dad usually doesn't notice ANYTHING, but I remember trying on my prom dress for him, and he didn't look happy. He looked shocked, and just shook his head.

Why am I thinking about this! I've gained! Enough lamenting the past

I have found the best way to end to shut people up when they say stupid things like "oh you are soooo skinny, how do you do it?" I reply to them with a dead pan look on my face and say "Cocaine and laxatives"

lol i dont think i could say it with a straight face. well it would depend on who i was talking to lol.

My mum: *tapping my collarbone* "EWWW! You're like a skeleton with skin stretched over it.."

Janice's favourite: 'Well it's hard when your daughter resembles a Beafrican famine victim"

Was in the changing room at work and one of my co-workers came in while I had my shirt off and just looked at me, shocked, and said 'dude, just eat something', and he said it in English, which was a real shock because usually we just yell at each other in Spanish.

Why is it that it's easier to take from family, but when someone else around you says it, it brings it all back down to earth?

I was on a trip with my college and my best friend, my brother, and his friend came too.  While we were on the quiet bus, i was leaning over with my head in my lap because i was tired (it was a lonnngg night) My brother announced loudly "check out her spine, she looks like a stegasaurus!" I was so embarassed, my face turned beet red Embarassed

ohmigosh-your legs are so skinny...how do you walk...how are you workng...do they work you too hard....why dont you just ollapse over when you stand......you look like you're going to break....omigosh i wish i could be thin....i need to loose so much weight....take some of mine.....your gonna die

ALL THAT and then some spewed out of the mouth of a CLIENT at the animal hospital i was working at. In the middle of the waiting room, I was justdelivering files to the front desk........................what do you say to that, except appologize and walk away?

you know 'myvalentinesquest', i think this thread is only to glamorize anorexia. i think your post might seem  boastful. and i think your pictures are too. they belong on a pro - ana website. but if yu have any desire to get better they dont belong here.

thats harsh from me. but its the truth.

this thread should be allowed to die or locked because i think its gone to the stage of pro-ana/mia behaviour. maybe not outright but the undertones are there

i see how hard you work on the 'what did you eat today' thread. you are clearly pushing your psychological boundaries, but those photos only serve to keep you underweight and taunt you... dont do it to yourself

Bl00dy hell, I am sick of this too.

Stop complaining about being skinny people. Either do something about it, or shut up.   Over weight people do not form threads complaining about what it is like to be over weight. Instead, they count calories and try to lose weight so that they can fix the problem.

I sense that some of the people who have posted here secretly like people commenting on them being thin - but instead of admitting they like the attention, they act as though it is ‘annoying’. they know it is unhealthy to be that skinny, but they still like being skinny,  so complaining about people’s comments  is sort of a way for some people to revel in their enjoyment.

Personally, I think it is a rare exception when a person IS naturally so thin that people actually comment.  In those cases,  it would suck if people assumed they had an eating disorder.

Lastly, I realize there is also another type of person who posts here-- people recovering from eating disorders who genuinely wish people would stop commenting on them being skinny - because they are trying so hard to gain.  I realize there have been some genuine reasons who people posting here.

nevermind.
