What are you're skinny jeans?

Quote  |  Reply
While, they're not neccesarily jeans, we all know we have something, hiding in the back of our closests that we're just dying to get back into.

So I figured I would ask if anyones managed it yet? And ask what everyones dream clothing was.

Mine are a pair of jeans i brought a few years ago from punky fish, (whos sizes are rediculously small) there a medium from there and when i got them i could only just squeeze into them. They've got pink fishnet up on of the legs and i really cant wait until i can fit into them.

It's one of the things that keeps me going.... The dream of the skinny jeans.

What about you?

hahah this is a good topic. Mine are actually jeans! I had almost gotten down to my goal weight last fall and I bought 3 new pairs of jeans. They were almost too big. So if I can get them to fit like that again i'll be happy :)
The jeans i was wearing at the start of the year before i met boy. Also a short demin skirt i wore pre boy stage of my life. I can do them up, i just have a muffin top...

I have a pair of jeans nothing special realy from aeropostale that I bought right after i got out of basic. I want to fit into them. I try them on every now and agian and I can get them to button up now but they dont fit quite over my butt (It is huge) and i am defnitely stretching them if I do button them up. At least I dont have much of a muffin top but I do look squeezed to death in them and my love handles hang over a little.
mine are shorts i got about 1 and a half years ago. they now fit but give me a weird muffin top so i need to lose a little more to fit into them.

Mine is a pair of Silver capris that I got a few years ago.  They were always a little snug, but I was really sad on the day that they would no longer even fit over my hips.  I am slowly but surely getting back to the size where they are snug again...my ultimate goal is for them to fit PERFECTLY. :)

I have a lot of clothes that I want to fit into better! Like these two pairs of trousers I got last Christmas... I can just about do them up, but my god it HURTS!!

One of my most proudest moments, though, was when I dug out this pair of jeans that I got just over 2 years ago.

I had been jeans shopping with my friend (I HATE JEANS SHOPPING) and had tried on about 10000000 pairs. I exaggerate, but I was 5'2" and 170/5lbs, and no jeans looked good on me... Anyway, I found this one pair of Levi's, like, skinny fit, but before they were in fashion, so I thought they were major cool! I had to literally JUMP to get into them, and then ease them up my legs, and the button JUST did up, but I decided that I'd get them, and lose weight, and just wear baggy tops to hide the muffin top for the time being.

By the time I took a family holiday to America last April I could fit into them nicely. They weren't tight around the legs and did up perfectly, with a little space - I was 155lbs.

I found them the other day, and put them on. They fall off, no joke. They are like baggy man jeans! I reckon they'd look pretty cool with a studded belt haha. So anyway... I'm 128lbs at the moment, and even though I get my "fat" days, and I still want to lose a little weight and generally get fitter, when I think about those jeans I get a massive smile on my face.

I hope everybody can find their pair of jeans and fit into them soon! Sorry about the essay :/

I bought a dress in Santa Barbara a couple months ago that I couldn't zip up, but loved.  I recently was able to zip it up, but it is still too tight and bunches a little here and there.  I figure another 5 lbs will make it fit just fine.
I found a pair of "Outlaw" Jeans at a little boutique in a one light town - I don't know if they were some off-brand or what.  They are the only ones I have ever found and yet they make my butt look unbelievable.  They have been folded away for a little over 5 years.  I can't wait until I can get back into those - and I hope my butt looks great again!
My skinny jeans were a pair of size 2 Gap Modern Fit button fly's that I wore for a very brief time 5 years ago, right after 9/11 when the anxiety made me stop eating and I dropped a ton of weight without trying. Anxiety always does that to me. I met my DH in Jan 2002 and I have photos of me wearing those jeans. New love kept me in them for a few more months, then my weight bounced back to my usual range... and then you know the story already about me gaining weight last year.

It's been nearly 5 years, but I've held on to those jeans. I tried them on a few weeks back and lo and behold, they are baggy on me!!!! What's more, they are also out of fashion. LOL. So I finally gave them to Goodwill.

I'm back in all my clothes now, some are a little baggy, some fit better than ever, and I've been doing some shopping to add some items in the next size down. In fact, today I hit JCrew and bought a pair of Matchstick jeans.

Now, I *know* there was a recent thread where nearly everyone slammed the skinny jean trend... but these work on me because I am a hipless buttless wonder with thin legs and scrawny thighs. I can pull off this style, in fact, it makes me look taller!!

Oh, and get this one. I went to grab a size 26. The snobby shop clerk stopped me and said, "You do understand those are equivalent to size 00, don't you?" Ugh, I must've looked heavier to him or something, I am wearing a skirt that I bought months ago - probably about 10 lbs ago - and yes it is falling off my hips now and does make me look wider than I am underneath. I thought the clerk was terribly rude though, don't you?? But I just smiled and replied, "I know - I tried on the 27's and they were too big." Which was true. :-)
I want to fit into the size 10 skinny jeans in my closet and not look like a whale sqeezed into a fish bowl.

My metaphors are lacking.

i have a few things but the ones that are the sign that i am where i want to be are a pair of size 6 red pants. i came close about a year ago but i haven't fit into them comfortably in about 3 or 4 years.

Mine is a new 3 button navy pin stripe suit that is smaller or at 46R and a size 16 shirt. I've got a wedding to go and i want to dress to impress the prettier sex
My skinny jeans are well, jeans I got them at the end of my sophmore year and they are from american eagle nothing to fancy I just miss fitting in them.
I have a pair of, yes, jeans that I bought and got altered in South America about ... (gulp!) 20 years ago when I was 23.  I've been able to fit into them on and off, but they have always been a little tight (which I wanted at 23).  I think it's been about 5 years since I tried them on.

I'm not sure I can fit into them yet (I'm traveling, but this thread makes me want to try them on next week when I get back).  But I do know that the jeans I am wearing now have gotten quite loose - I no longer have to do the "jean shimmy" to get into them - so I am thinking I can probaby get into those 20-year-old jeans again (and I really don't care about fashion, as long as they still look good I'll wear them). :)
this is too funny. i fit my skinny jeans perfectly today. scale hasn't moved in a week but i lost another inch. i should be happy, right? but im still focused on that number moving. its sad really.
I had half a closet full of my skinny jeans for years. I finally got rid of all of them except one pair.  Since I wanted to focus on accepting myself right where I am, I went shopping and got clothes that fit me now!  It was actually very liberating.  I realized that when I get to my right weight I can go on a shopping spree and get all new clothes.  Plus, some of those jeans were from when I was in my late 20's and now I am in my mid 40's.  I have a feeling my shaping has changed and even if I get back to that size they probably won't fit!  I am aiming for a size 14 and a lot of those pants were a 10.
When a store was closing out, they had a bunch of jeans on sale for one to two dollars, and I stocked up.  Most of them fit me, but two pair escaped me.  One, in particular, I'm dying to get into.

When I first bought them in January, they wouldn't go past my knees.  Now I can get 'em on.  I just don't even DREAM of trying to button them yet.

My first ever pair of "skinny jeans", I knew they were two sizes too small but I was out of pants and still clothing myself with Mommie's pay check, and could barely squeeze into them, I can slip those on and off without even unbuttoning.

Mine WERE my mom's... they're too big for her now...

They're nothing special... a pair of size 10 thin denim calvin klein... but I looked great in them about three years ago and I'll look great in them again in about another year!

Freshman year of high school (seven years ago!) my favorite pair of pants were these size 5 red plaid pants :)  I tried them on the other day and I can finally now button them, but can't breathe and am def. spilling over the sides.

Once I can comfotably fit in those, I will be happy!  Two more sizes to go!
Mine are these capris that I wore to my high school senior good bye dinner. I loved them, got them at one of those small asian stores where everything is super extra small. I don't even know the size, I just remember the pictures and how I looked in them. They are bright pink, orange & white, out of style now, but cute and would love to fit into them again prior to giving away to the good will!
