What are you're skinny jeans?
So I figured I would ask if anyones managed it yet? And ask what everyones dream clothing was.
Mine are a pair of jeans i brought a few years ago from punky fish, (whos sizes are rediculously small) there a medium from there and when i got them i could only just squeeze into them. They've got pink fishnet up on of the legs and i really cant wait until i can fit into them.
It's one of the things that keeps me going.... The dream of the skinny jeans.
What about you?
I have a lot of clothes that I want to fit into better! Like these two pairs of trousers I got last Christmas... I can just about do them up, but my god it HURTS!!
One of my most proudest moments, though, was when I dug out this pair of jeans that I got just over 2 years ago.
I had been jeans shopping with my friend (I HATE JEANS SHOPPING) and had tried on about 10000000 pairs. I exaggerate, but I was 5'2" and 170/5lbs, and no jeans looked good on me... Anyway, I found this one pair of Levi's, like, skinny fit, but before they were in fashion, so I thought they were major cool! I had to literally JUMP to get into them, and then ease them up my legs, and the button JUST did up, but I decided that I'd get them, and lose weight, and just wear baggy tops to hide the muffin top for the time being.
By the time I took a family holiday to America last April I could fit into them nicely. They weren't tight around the legs and did up perfectly, with a little space - I was 155lbs.
I found them the other day, and put them on. They fall off, no joke. They are like baggy man jeans! I reckon they'd look pretty cool with a studded belt haha. So anyway... I'm 128lbs at the moment, and even though I get my "fat" days, and I still want to lose a little weight and generally get fitter, when I think about those jeans I get a massive smile on my face.
I hope everybody can find their pair of jeans and fit into them soon! Sorry about the essay :/

It's been nearly 5 years, but I've held on to those jeans. I tried them on a few weeks back and lo and behold, they are baggy on me!!!! What's more, they are also out of fashion. LOL. So I finally gave them to Goodwill.
I'm back in all my clothes now, some are a little baggy, some fit better than ever, and I've been doing some shopping to add some items in the next size down. In fact, today I hit JCrew and bought a pair of Matchstick jeans.
Now, I *know* there was a recent thread where nearly everyone slammed the skinny jean trend... but these work on me because I am a hipless buttless wonder with thin legs and scrawny thighs. I can pull off this style, in fact, it makes me look taller!!
Oh, and get this one. I went to grab a size 26. The snobby shop clerk stopped me and said, "You do understand those are equivalent to size 00, don't you?" Ugh, I must've looked heavier to him or something, I am wearing a skirt that I bought months ago - probably about 10 lbs ago - and yes it is falling off my hips now and does make me look wider than I am underneath. I thought the clerk was terribly rude though, don't you?? But I just smiled and replied, "I know - I tried on the 27's and they were too big." Which was true. :-)
My metaphors are lacking.
i have a few things but the ones that are the sign that i am where i want to be are a pair of size 6 red pants. i came close about a year ago but i haven't fit into them comfortably in about 3 or 4 years.
I'm not sure I can fit into them yet (I'm traveling, but this thread makes me want to try them on next week when I get back). But I do know that the jeans I am wearing now have gotten quite loose - I no longer have to do the "jean shimmy" to get into them - so I am thinking I can probaby get into those 20-year-old jeans again (and I really don't care about fashion, as long as they still look good I'll wear them). :)
When I first bought them in January, they wouldn't go past my knees. Now I can get 'em on. I just don't even DREAM of trying to button them yet.
My first ever pair of "skinny jeans", I knew they were two sizes too small but I was out of pants and still clothing myself with Mommie's pay check, and could barely squeeze into them, I can slip those on and off without even unbuttoning.
Mine WERE my mom's... they're too big for her now...
They're nothing special... a pair of size 10 thin denim calvin klein... but I looked great in them about three years ago and I'll look great in them again in about another year!
Once I can comfotably fit in those, I will be happy! Two more sizes to go!
Is jump roping as good an exercise as running?
In terms of calorie burning, moderate jumping is about equal to running a 10-minute mile, although calorie burning is always a function of time... Read more
