You're taller than me and weigh less than me?!

Quote  |  Reply
This frustrates me sooo much! When I find out that someone who is taller than me weighs less than me!

I am 5'4 and weigh 123lbs. So when I hear of someone who is 5'7 and weighs 115-120lbs and they're trying to lose weight...it makes me feel really fat!

Anyone else get this?

don't worry too much :) We all have different frames and bone density and such. Worry about how you feel about yourself! Don't compare yourself to others, it gets too stressful :)
mcp: you're that girl for me! :) i'm 5 ft; 133 so you're 4 inches taller than me and 10 lbs lighter!  it happens to everybody
I know - but it's frustrating sometimes. Especially when you're having a bad day!

There will always be someone out there skinnier, prettier, wealthier, etc.

The key is to worry about you and where you want to be.

I know, I just needed to vent a little :)
It goes in reverse too. Doesn't matter what side of the fence you're on it's frustrating. I'm 5'2 maintaining 105lbs. But, people blah it to death with " If I hear one more word about someone a hundred pounds tryin' to be healthy on here... wtf, are you here for? ect ect " So annoying. Everyones body is different. Why can't we all just get along? =-P
Argh, my best friend is 5'3 and i'm 5'1. We're also the same exact weight (130 pounds) but still she's a little slimmer than I am because of her height. It really irks me when she says she needs to lose weight, because it makes me wonder if she's also implying I need to lose weight? And when she calls herself fat, that must mean i'm fat too right?

And sometimes when I call myself fat when we go clothing shopping, she says i'm not fat. Even though she calls herself fat when we're the same weight, she's taller, and she's the slimmer of the two. It makes me want to say, hey you think you're fat when i'm heavier than you. What gives??

So very confusing...
This post reminds me of my mom. She's my heigth and weighs less than me and I don't think a day goes by that she doesn't mention how fat she is. Did I mention she's 32 years older than me? Make me feel wonderfull. No matter what there will always be someone thinner, taller, etc. LOL! Loveing yourself the way you are is the key.
Absofreakin'lutely!
Amen to that.

I'm 5'1.5'', 8 stone 6 (118 lbs), and I feel pretty OK until my sister comes along ... she's 5'7'' and about 110 lbs, and she's always going 'oh, come on, I'm NOT skinny at all,' and I think, 'OK, if you're not skinny I must be completely fat!' It makes me want to lose 2 more stones!
