i went from 171 to 107, back up to about 132 and am trying to get back down to a toned 115. even though i'm not in maintenace mode yet, i've still gone from having an obese BMI, to being in the healthy range.

i found out now that it only takes me 15 minutes to walk to school from my house, and it used to take me 25 minutes. i found that i can do summersaults now, when i couldn't before. i can now jumprope and hoolahoop too! as well as actually RUN.

what can you do now after you lost weight, that you couldn't do before?

  1. I can get a plane without getting the "oh great" face with an eye roll from whoever is sitting next to me.
  2. I can go into any store at the mall and know the sizes will fit me.
  3. I can wear a skirt on a hot day without rubbing the skin raw between my legs.

Anyone else?

Ok,

I can run for 2 hours and feel invigorated.

I can wear clothes that are not stretchy. I can wear jeans.

I still have a ways to go but these were pretty big for me.

I can run!!!  Without pain (or passing out!)

I can actually see the progress I'm making with my lifting workout.

I can pick up a dress (size small or extra small!) at Target and buy it without trying it on first.

I can enjoy trying on swimming suits.

I can leg press more than my body weight :)

I no longer need the seatbelt extender when i get on a plane!

I can tie my shoes without getting "winded"

Much like "cawilder" I can wear jeans instead of stretchy pants. (That's a HUGE one for me - I love jeans!)

I spent 6 hours doing yard work yesterday, raking, mowing, pulling weeds, cleaning the yard up for summer. I've only lost 33 pounds but i couldn't do this before. I was too winded. In fact, i've never raked leaves while i've lived in this house. I used to just mow them.

I can climb my stairs from my basement without feeling like i'm dying.

I can get into jeans i havent worn in 2 years.

My seatbelt in my car fits comfortably.

I can walk to my moms with my kids which is 3 miles away.

I've still got 55 pounds to reach my goal, but right now, one of the most exciting things to me is crossing my legs effortlessly. and having them both vertical, rather than looking like a seven.

I love going into a store and not worry the biggest size won't fit.  Except now I buy too much :)

agree on crossing the leg thing.

don't have to worry about wearing a long top to cover fat stomach and hips anymore.

I look forward to all those things mentioned :)

One thing that I can do now...have sex in the missionary position and kiss at the same time. Before there was too much in the way. TMI?? lol

I can get any job I want now.. not a lot of places would want to hire a waitress if she was 208, but now at 145 I work at a kickass wineshop and people flirt with me all the time!

Also, not having to stress about what to wear.. before I was super goth, but really because I looked dreadful in jeans; I admit I still would like to drop a size to a szie 6, but my ass looks pretty good in a pair of jeans Wink

I dunno, it's funny because now I take these things for granted, but before I couldn't stop thinking about them!

I can run for the bus without wheezing & going bright red.

I can comfortably cross my legs when sat down.

I can see a bit of definition to my cheekbones now & only have one chin = enjoying doing my make up.

I can kneel down & get up relatively easily.

Buying trousers & jeans is less traumatic.
