29 yr male, 6 ft, 175 lb wanna lose 15 pound atleast... please advise
hi friends
I dont diet usually; used to eat everything including junk food.. love icecream. I used to be very thin (under weight) but now feel I should lose some pounds. I do light exercise very irregularly. I think after marriage, my metabolism has become slow or I guess may be I eat too much & not enough exercise. Portion of meal is also my weakness. I cant be hungry.
anyway now I want to start healthy life style. Yr suggestions are welcome to achieve my goal. Thanks and good luck to all
Hmm... 160 would still be within the healthy range for him.
And, really, it's not fair to say that he doesn't need to lose it. He is in a healthy range now, but he may be sporting some pooch he dislikes.
My suggestion, jonus, is to not concentrate on a weight so much as a health approach, though. Work on eating better, more whole foods. Try exercising a little. Portion control isn't as big an issue when you're eating healthy, good foods with lots of vegetables. I need to eat alot myself.
And feel free to ask questions. :) We can help. :)
Im sorry but guys that weigh that amount at 6ft just look like all skin and bones............
He might just be trying to get rid of a pooch or something but I dont think he needs to lose 15lbs....
just my opinion though
thanks angiethe1_2005 and 2months2go for quick reply to my post.
I actually look healthy and dont have any illness. You are right to say that I may not be overweight and should concentrate on maintainance only. However I have noticed excess belly fat recently and I m concerned about it. I thought 160 lb should be my goal to look more energetic and healthy. What do you think about my current weight?
Im sure you already look fabulous but nothing wrong with improving ourselves to feel better=)
I agree with the other ladies here; your weight shouldn't be the issue. My husband is also 6 foot, and he looks too thin at 175. He's got a fairly large frame, however. But even on a thin frame, 160 would look too thin.
I would recommend focusing on decreasing your body fat level and increasing your muscle. You'll look thinner and fitter, whether the final scale number you settle on is below 175 or not.
My boyfriend is 6 feet tall, and 134.
PLEASE do not lose weight. He is much too thin, and would absolutely LOVE to gain weight. Focus instead on losing fat percentage, and gaining lean muscle.
thanks all for making me feel good about my weight :-)
anyway I'm just trying to be more regular on exercise and cutting down junk fatty food. Nasuoni, sharz96 u r right i guess..I should concentrate more on losing fat percentage, and gaining lean muscle.
I lost 2 pounds in last 10 days just with trademill (no diet) :-)
I'm now 173..
