31yr old Female - 30lbs to loose - need buddies!
Hi Everyone,
I'm 31 years old with approximately 30lbs to loose (well 32lbs to be exact!). I've yo-yo dieted for as long as I can remember. About 7yrs ago I lost about 75lbs and since then I've been up and down the same 15lbs. I just can't seem to stick with anything. The only thing I'm dedicated too - is working out - whether I'm eating like crap or not, I ALWAYS work out.
My husband and I are planning a trip to Punta Cana in March and I sure would love to loose at least 15lbs before than!
More than anything - I think I need to be accountable. So if I've got a buddy that I'm reporting to and someone that is checking in on me and making me accountable, I think I'll have much greater success.
I look forward to adding some new friends!
Good luck to all!
Hey Carsha! hey everyone! I'm 32, 5' 6" and I also have 30 lbs. to 35 lbs. I want to lose! I also weigh 175.
The holidays have been tough! This past weekend I was just plain bad! Pizza, mexican, red wine, ugh! I had 4 friends in from out of town, so we all pigged out. At least we were merry! ;)
Back on track today though! Ready for the new year and new beginnings! Everyone be safe tonight!
H all, Same story, more or less. I need to lose 29 pounds according to my analysis here but would look and feel fine with about twenty gone.
I am a dedicated exerciser so that's not an issue.
I am married to a man who is almost six feet tall and weighs 165 pounds fully dressed, so he just doesn't get it.
I am a carb addict and know it. I feel much much better watching the carbs but hubby's favorite food is spaghetti.
I need a support system.... (and a salad) ![]()
Glad to be here and hope to make some good friends.
SR..

Hi All, hope you all got through New Years with out to much over indulgence and managed to fit some exercise in between celebration and family gatherings.
Well as we are now all in 2008 I guess we have to put our bodies on the line and start moving these pounds off.
Still struggling with the old portion control, I seem to put more on my plate than I actually need. My partner and I both do this the only trouble is for me it on the stomach, hips and thighs and him you would never notice he's lucky he is naturally skinny.
As we are in Summer at the moment we are off to the beach tomorrow which I am dreading having to put on a swimming costume. Last time I wore a bikini was when I was 13. I am sure I will overcome my panic attack and enjoy the day as long as I have a good book and plenty of shade from the sun.
Wish you all well with your efforts, no excuses left get out there and get the results we desire and want for our selves its our year its 2008 no stopping us. Best Wish K8
Happy New Year all!
Well... I haven't "officially" started watching what I eat yet. I'm actually not going to start until this Monday. Hubby was away over xmas and I'm doing the whole turkey thing this weekend. I've decided that there's no point saying that it's New Year's and it's time to start new - everyday is a new day and we can each start over every day!
I think I jinxed myself with saying that I ALWAYS work out. It hasn't been happening
I did manage to get to the gym on Saturday and went for a run - about 5k. I was sick over the holidays (gall bladder attack) and my schedule got all messed up and now getting up at 5:30am to go to the gym before work seems impossible! I am signed up for Yoga starting in two weeks - I'll be doing two classes a week. For anyone that hasn't ever done it - I really recommend it!
I have booked my trip for Punta Cana for March 13 - so it looks like that's 71 days til I leave!!! Lots of work to do!
I'm going to start keeping track of what I'm eating starting today, so that it'll be easier when I "officially" start on Monday!
I hope everyone had a great holiday and are ready to keep on moving!
New girl, similar boat: 33 with 31 lbs to go. Trip to Mexico coming up too fast for me to worry about it, but I am going to buy a modest bikini in my current size - no sense hiding when I'm in a different country. My white, dimply skin needs sun!
My end-point is in August, according to this site. Seems like a million years from now. Where's the all-American quick fix? :-)
I like the trip-as-reward idea. Do y'all have any other good self-reward ideas? Looking for something unique.
Happy new year!
