Ugh I have the same binge problem. I work out all the time and when I can get my eating in check for a few weeks I look great but then I feel like I sabatoge myself and blow it for no reason! I really have to stop this non sense.
Hi morgan! I sabatoge myself always too. not sure whats in my brain that makes me think it i am just pretending to eat the junk always and its not actually going to make my clothes too tight after all that hard work working out!
Hey girls! 26yr old guy looking to lose, like you ladies. I've been working out everyday and Sunday is one full month in. Unfortunately I had a 'binge' day myself yesterday. I was super nervous that I may have ruined my good habits. Today I'm back to watching my portions. Although I ate 2-3 times the calories that I have been, we had a huge snow storm, so I made sure to shovel my driveway and sidewalk by hand, on top of my morning workout. I weigh myself every morning and this morning I had only gained 0.2 lbs from yesterday morning! Pleasant surprised! Nothing I can't work off with today's workout. Super excited. Looking at close to 15 lbs dropped in the first month. WooWoo! Just gotta remember to offset the extra calories with extra work : )
I am a 25yr old female as well. I want to lose 20lbs. I am currently 136lbs, 5'0". I lost down to 125lbs in 2007 while on this website, but gained it back the minute I stopped logging food and working out daily. I also sabatoge myself with food (cookies, bread, just eating too much). Usually I can lose the weight Monday-Friday, but on the weekends I have sooo much trouble losing. Any time fun is involved I gain weight. For example, I was 139lbs last Monday, I got down to 136.5lbs and then after the weekend, the next Monday I was back to 139lbs. Right now (it is Thursday) I weigh 136lbs again, so hopefully I can stay there. Every Friday I tell myself I can do it, but just don't. When I don't go to work (on the weekends) I gain weight because I am not on my feet all day like at work. It is that hidden exercise you get while at work that helps keep your weight down. So now I have learned that I really cannot eat much if I am not going to be on my feet all day. I even go for walks and do housework on the weekends, still gain. In 2007 I lost the weight by working out 4-5 times a week, eating barely any food and never eating after 6pm. It is so hard to get in this habit, but once you do the weight comes off really easy. The problem is when you let in the bad habits again, they you gain everything back.
How can I make walking fun?
You have to find a way to make exercise fun or else you won't do it. If you walk indoors on a treadmill, I recommend moving outdoors into the fresh air... Read more
