58 yr. old looking for buddy for motivation to loose 60 lbs!
I've been busy with family visiting so I didn't get on the computer for a couple of days. I haven't been doing too badly with food choices but I need to start exercising. We are moving the treadmill out of my husband's office so I can use it when I 'feel' like exercising. I think you are doing wonderful and it sure is an encouragement for me to get started.
I noticed the sudden spare tire just after I turned fifty. I couldn't believe how quickly my body changed. That is the part that I would really like to get rid of.
I cleaned and did laundry today...I got a lot done. I've decided I am not going to weigh myself weekly. I think I will do it monthly....but I reserve the right to change my mind....I can't wait to loose a pound.
We have snow! It isn't common the get snow in our area, just lots of rain. I finally got my picture posted. I hope I don't scare anyone away. I needed this for a picture ID so decided to use it because it is what I looked like yesterday! chuckle. I had lots of fruit and fibre today and 30 minutes on the treadmill. How is everyone else?
Hi Kate
I am also from beautiful BC Canada and am spending the winter in Myrtle Beach south Carolina. and will be heading home on the first of March. When i started i lost 5 pounds the first week and then nothing for 4 weeks then another pound in the fifth week and inbetwwen these times i gained 6 pounds then it went away again so i only weigh in every Monday from now on.So don't get disapointed right away it is a slow process but it works . Weight goes on faster than it comes off . My wife and i have been married 40 years and have 3 kids and 8 grandkids. We are doing this weight loss to-gether so it is not to bad. I find there is lots to eat but we have to eat the right things
Hi Lisa,
Welcome. I haven't been a member very long but I have lost 4 pounds since Dec 31 when I joined. I need to get motivated and excercise more. Just getting your email was encouraging so I think I will get on the treadmill for 30 minutes. I must admit I have done better on the weeks I have kept track. It's nice travelling this road of motivation and loosing with like minded people. All the best!
Hi Loveyrose,
I am almost 51 and need to lose 30 - 50lbs. I have been this weight for 20 years. I usually don't gain but neither do I lose. My daughter may be getting married this summer so I would definitely like to look slimmer. I'm trying for 10 lbs. at a time. I have started a walking tape as I mostly work 12 nights. I can take the tapes to work and do them on my break. I also bought different workout tapes for home. I could certainly use the support. By the way I live in Pugwash, N.S.

Figure out what type of eater you are and you might just find the answer to permanent weight loss.
