32 yr old Newbie looking for friends! Hi! :)
Hello Everyone! I'm Emily. Just started this thing a week ago. Trying to get some friends on here for support, motivation, and encouragement.
I have 40 pounds to lose. I started this thing a week ago and have already dropped 4! Probably mostly water weight.
Anyhowz...I have done the gain/lose thing several times in my life...so I know that I can do this! I am very optimistic & super excited about starting CC! This is just what I needed to jump start my goals to a helathier lifestyle! I loathe calorie counting, but it is necessary for me to keep a log otherwise I will rack up pounds. Glad to find something that is so easy!
Hi,
I'm 40 and have aproximately 60lbs to loose. My real goal is to reach a Body Fat% of 18%. A woman should have no less than 16% and no more than 29%. I can help anyone interested calculate Body Fat. So as I track my weight and body fat I'll adjust my goal weight. I live in Lemon Grove, CA and just finished up schooling for my HHP (Holistic Health Practioner.)

Hey there I am 34 from Upstate NY and would like to lose 110lbs by this time next year. Would love to do it by October when I turn 35 but I am trying to be realistic. I also find it more rewarding to set monthly and sometimes weekly goals depending on how much motivation I need. Good Health in the NEW YEAR to all.
Rae
I'm adding everyone here to my friends list. Let's all have a productive year!

Hi everyone I'm new I joined in the new year but had a bit of a cold so didnt feel ready to start the new healthy plan until now, I'm 35 in a couple of months 3 kids from the Uk.
I tend to get paranoid over weight loss so have decided to take all my measurements and concentrate on inch loss instead tho I do have a starting point of 168 pounds and an eventual goal of 120.
Hopefully get to know some of you better soon x
Sam
Emily,
Thanks for adding me as a friend!!! I have 40 Pounds to go also!! My goal is not until next october..
I have a two year old daughter and a two month old so working out is not quite the option for me right now.. they are my personal workouts!!
I'm going to teach myself to eat properly first than I am going to start working out!!!
I need to get my little one on the bottle so Dadda can help out also!!
Email me anytime.. Good luck to us!! Your new friend Clowie
Hello ladies...I am also trying to loose about 40 lbs and like you have done this before (and I work in insurance) so it seems we have much in common...Im definitely up for a buddy that I can check in with and motivate me and keep me on track and vice versa of course!!!
Hi Emily,
I am 28 and need to lose around 79lbs. I have done the whole lose/gain and then gain some more. I am really hoping this works. I started the 12 week program yesterday and I could really use friends also to keep me motivated. I have 2 children that keep me really busy and sometimes it's hard to find time for myself. I have decided that no more excuses this weight is coming OFF!!!
Hey Mandy, Cwill07, Emm, Calorie- countess, gmuneyluv, and Clowie again! I loooove making new friends! the more the merrier! So glad we can all help and support each other through this healthy lifestyle change! I'm adding all of you! Thanks so much for the messages and welcome to CC!
Hi to all of you-
I am another Emily so I'll be Emily G. I joined a while back but have yet to meet anyone. I really need some buddies too. I am a stay-at-home mom to 3 kids and have around 25 lbs to lose. I really struggle with the scale...when it goes down I'm all gung-ho and then if it goes up at all I feel like giving up. And being 5'10 my weight is all over the place.
Anyway, I'd love to meet any of you.
hey manta that is awesome congrats on fitting into your pre preg pants.
emily g. I know what you mean about being tall. I'm 6' tall. When I lose 10lbs noboby notices because I have some much surface area to take it from. on the other hand I could gain ten pounds and very few would notice.
I hope everyone has a great day tomorrow. emm
See I'm the complete opposite to that I'm only 5' so the slightest amount of weight i put on you can tell almost straight away but unfortunately it takes longer for me to see it when it comes off.
Manta well done you. ![]()
Hey Emily G! Hey Sharon! Good to hear form you girls! I've added both of you! Let's kick butt in 2008 and lose this weight!!!
I worked out for about an hour and a half last night...and amazingly enough as sore as I was, I managed to do the elliptical for 30 minutes this morning! Go me! I've decided to do my Friday workouts in the morning so that Friday night I can relax, have fun, whatever.
I haven't dropped any pounds in a couple weeks - but I am also probably gaining muscle. Going to buy a fabric tape measure today to take measurements. I will post this weekend. Also decided to start taking monthly photos of myself to see my progress.
I'm so excited for the new year!!! Glad we have a nice support group going here! Good luck girls! We can do it!!!
Hi-
Emily-thanks! Your positive attitude is awesome!!! Good job working out!
Emm-I know..it is a blessing to be able to hide it. Doesn't mean WE don't see it though.
Sam-sorry...I know it is harder on a shorter frame. You have a different kind of fight than us tall girls because you gain any weight and it shows up. Does taking measurements help you more than the scale? You and I have 3 kids in common. Only you are further along than me. Do you remember the days of diapers and constant feeding of 3 young ones?
I did Tae-Bo this morn...but I've been working out since about 6 mos post-pregnancy and my weight didn't budge. The more I read the more I think it is more about what I put in my mouth. That is a struggle as I am home with the food all day and constantly fixing it for the kids. And as a reward at the end of a hard day, guess what I choose! Yep...ice cream or candy or whatever my little heart desires. I have to get disgusted enough that I finally say enough and stop putting the bad stuff in my mouth. I think hey if I just work out more! But that doesn't seem to be doing it this time.
Keep it up girlfriends!!! We can do it!!! Have a great day!
