Hello, I am about 5'6 stay at home mom, in my early 20's and I way 211 as of yesterday b/c that is when I started. I have one child who is almost 2. I currently way as much as I did when I found out I was pregnant. But whatever right, because that is not what I am suppose to weigh. My husband is also slim so we look off now, and it is usually the other way around. And now that I had my child I don't look the same, so my self-esteem as really gone down. I personally don't eat a lot, But  I usually eat more at night and that needs to get switched. So I don't really eat the much during the day so maybe not enough calories and also I mainly eat cereal all day.  I very rarely eat sweets maybe once every other blue moon. I do not eat fast food unless it is subway or something not greasy, I really do not like fast food and plus all that grease makes me really sick (maybe that is a good thing). And now that I have moved to a new town, my friends who are skinny are going to want to go swimming and do all that summer stuff together.  But I do not wear bathing suits, shorts, or tank tops. Let's just say I do not own all of the above. Well I do have tank tops, but I never wear them alone, ever. I do play tennis maybe once a week and go bike riding w/ my son for at least an hour at least once a week and walking maybe once every 2 weeks or more.

I forgot to mention that I have a sister that is 5'4 and was a size 18-20 went down to a size 6 in less than a year. And I know people probably think why I am not losing weight like she is b/c we are sisters. The thing is modivation and she is always busy so I cannot always be around her and she has a better willpower than me. If you want to know what she did just ask. maybe that will motivate you.

Hi!  I'm in too!  I am 28 years old and the mother of 2 girls, ages 4 and 6.  My weight as of Sunday was 206.  Since then, I have been working out really hard and eating 1200 calories a day.  I was tired at first, but now I am getting used to it.  It is easier than I thought.  Did I mention up until a year and a half ago I taught kickboxing and cycling?  I am very ashamed of myself for getting this way.  I got into a good relationship with a wonderful man and now I have gained weight and he has lost about 40 pounds!  I won't even let people take my picture!   I am glad that you started this!

Hi im in too.

I am 24, female, 260lbs. size 20. I got married almost a year ago in May and I absolutely HATE my photos... I normally dont like my photo taken but now i have an entire album of me and my husband and famliy and I never want to look like that again. My goal is to reach 150lbs before we even start thinking about having kids.. So thanks for starting this up!
I am a 29yo Male. I am 6ft2, 280(now)was at 320. I have always been a big guy, at 15 I was 6ft 200lb, but very athletic.

Since turning 29 in March, I have been getting my but in gear and doing the right things. Getting motivated was by FAR the hardest thing...so far I am down 40lbs(yay) through cutting calories and an hour a day(minimum) workout, with Sundays off.

I guess I wanna be one of those people you see on tv saying "I'm XX years old, and I am in the best shape of my life", and I know it is time to start thinking more healthfully in anticipation of having a family and stuff. I look at old pics, and though I was big, i was cut and appeared to be in shape, that is how I am trying to get again.
Great! I always hear from people I know that it is easier in your 20's to lose weight b/c your metabolism slows a bit down 30+ yrs.  I Do not want to wait till it is too late in a way that it is easier now than it will be later. Ok well, so far I have been doing alright. But I have not been typing up lately on my food log and I know we need to keep it up to know where we are.

I don't have a scale, so I do not know how much I have lost since I have started which has been about a week. I will be able to check 2morrow.

anybody can join at anytime. I just need people around can relate. So we are all basically on the same page.
Hi!  I'm 5'6" at 253, 37y.o.  I've lost 34.5 pounds since November.  I'm looking forward to break every 10 pound mark in my way.

BTW Bellad, I have a sister that is 5'2" and her thinnest was 108 (I'm pretty sure).  She's now (I guess) average weight for her height.  When she goes overweight it's usually by about 10-20 pounds and she exercises and watches her eats for a while and she's back to normal.  Hmm, I think I was jipped somewhere along the line!  ;)
Hi All! I am 221 and did weigh 240 at the end of November when I started this site! I am 32 yrs old and in a size 18! I need to exercise more! I am Laura everybody!
Hi All!

I'm reporting in. :)

I'm down to 210.5--whoo hoo!  And, I bought a new bathing suit yesterday.  My old one was a size 26 (I weighed 284 last April), and I'm now apparently an XL (16-18) in Land's End sizes.  Even though I still think I look horrible (there's that poor self image rearing its ugly head), I am sooo grateful to be in a smaller size and be able to find things I actually like with a little more ease than I used to.  When I bought the last bathing suit, it took half a dozen stores before I found one that fit, and I didn't even like the color or design.  This time, I got it at the first place, and the colors are cute!  Progress, huh?  :D

Anyhow, I hope all my 20s/30s friends are having a great day and starting to notice big changes!  :)
hi I am in too! I am 36 and 5'6" i started cc april 9 2007where I weighed in at 241.5 pounds after 6 pregnancies and5 births but what ever!

I at last weighin last wednesday weighed in at227.5 13 pounds LESS then when I started I weigh in tomorrow and I think it would be great to hear from other peoples in my age group and their weight loss struggles and triumphs!

the more we support each other the more we loose!!

Wtg writestuff on being in a smaller size! I grabbed a pair of capris at walmart that are an inch shy of snapping and my boyfrien wanted to take them back for my size, I said HECK NO! so now I am working my tale of to get into them. I think that might be a good strategy is buy something you love in just barely your size and then Work into it. I won't hang them up they are laying across the chair in my bedroom so every morning I can see them and remeber if I am not careful with what goes in THose pants won't go on!!

Hi Everyone,

Well congrats on all the amazing LOSSES! I am a real newby to CC so my first weigh in will be next week. It will probably not be very good as my husband and I are going to Corpus Christi for a long weekend to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary...So it is going to be extremely tough but I am hoping to show a loss. My goal is 1650 calories per day... yesterday was rough... I believe i was just over 2000 calories... am determined to do great the rest of the week.

Anyways... hop ya'll having a great Tuesday!
Hello everyone!

I just wanted to say that I commend you ladies who wear bathing suits and shorts and stuff. I on the other hand cannot get myself to even think about trying on a bathing suit. I laugh when my family keeps saying how rediculous I am. But I also cry inside b/c I want to but I just feel so hideous. Anyways, I have lost 3 lb. so far 211 to 208! as of May 11, which is my last weigh in. Don't know if I lost anymore since I have totally not been eating good. I have been eating half of my calories suppose to be 1350 but only had between 638-850 calories. And I also think I am lactose intolerant and got sick everytime I ate dairy but didn't realize till 5 days later. But I am trying!

Salbel- Congrats on the 1 yr anniversary, mine was one not to forget b/c it was so not what I expect and told my husband i would never let him live it down, but I look back and laugh now. That's what I get for letting him do all the "arraingments".

I was going to say that I don't think I will be able to eat good today b/c I got my teeth worked on and a gum lift I have been wanting forever I am so excited and in pain from getting my cavities worked on. As I try to drink a slim fast from a straw from one side of my mouth from being overly numb, even my nose is numb.
Hello,

I am 24 female and wiegh 203. I go to the gym everyday at lunch as well as going before work 2-3 times a week. I eat about 12-1500 calaries a day. At first it killed me...I was soo tired and always hungry. but I drank lots of water and told myself it has got to get better. At least i was tired because I was doing something healthy and not because I was so big I couldn't get up off the couch with out it being a bother.   I am also a mother of a two year old and she is the biggest reason I started this. I wanted to beable to take her to the park or color with her with out being tired or embarassed!  Plus, if I didnt' change my eating habbits and excercise habbits (or lack there of)...I just knew what kind of example I was setting. I just got this terrible flash of us on a talk show and me trying to explain how I let myself and my family become so obese.

I won't lie, It sucked at first. I hated going to the gym and I hated not eating the pizza at lunch followed by a piece of cake or eat the 2 plate of dinner plus candy...but now I love it. I really do. I love going to the gym and I love how I don't HAVE to eat all that food to feel satisfied. Motivating yourself is hard but I do it by thinking of my daughter and that awful image of the talk show :~) and on I go.

I think it is great that  you started this club and I hope to make some friends. And we will motiviate you!

ps. just a little hint on if you don't eat a lot during the day and are afraid you are going to over do it if you do start eating during the day. Make and Eat exactly what you feed your son for yourself. If you are feeding it to him then it must be healthy or at least semi-healthy enouph and it will keep your portions small. Try it and see if it works for you.
Hey Duken!

I think we have some things in common, how interesting is that. I will be 24 soon and I have a son almost 2 and I weigh 208 at the moment. Keep it up mama!
You too and it will be nice to have someone with so much in common to chat with!! I am excited!
Hi everyone.

Just wanted to see how everyone was doing this fine Wednesday! I am doing well. I went to lunch with some friends of mine and I was a little nervous cuz I knew we were going to a place that serves large portions. but I did good. I asked for a to go box rite away and first thing was put half of the lunch in that and put it aside. My friends called me a wierdo but then they told me I was doing good. So that was nice too.

Well hope everyone is doing wonderfully and if not cheer up! :~)
Hey...I am 23 years old and as of this morning 203 pounds.  I've recently just gone off antidepressants and I'm having a hard time finding motivation to exercise.  On top of dealing with the withdrawls from the medication I seems to have developed an obsession with food over the past year.  Anyone else expereince weight gain with antidepressants?  I sure could use some support......

*feeling hopelessly useless
