Hey, I have joined CC as a true start for my weight loss(hopefully). I am in my final year at university and want get healthy and lose(some) weight before i have to start work.
Starting this topic to keep me on track as i have tried to lose weight many times before and failed. Lots of tips needed.
I will weigh in once a week, please feel free to do the same![]()
Starting weight: 221![]()
Current weight: 221
First goal weight: 210

what day do you want to do weigh ins?
I am good for any day apart from the weekend what day is good for you?
ive been doing tuesdays because it gives me a chance to drop the weekend water weight.
I am very confused I just went on my home scales (the ones i went on before were at the gym). I think i like my scales better, they tell me i weight 208 woohoo better than any diet. so new weight loss goal 200(perhaps not a real 200 but makes me feel better) anyway....
What you said about tuesdays makes sense i think i shall do it then too.
How do you cope with doing uni work and dieting aswell, do you find it hard to concentrate. I find that the second i decide i am going on a diet the first thought in my mind is food.
Hey! I'll join in if you don't mind.
I'm 20, 5' 11"
Start weight: 244
Current Weight: 233
First goal weight: 220
Ultimate goal weight: 170
that definitely happens to me. i combat it by locking myself in the library with a ton of water, some apple slices and no money to buy more food. if i want to eat, i have to go all the way home. that seems to be working.
i wouldnt worry too much about the scale differences. just pick one and use that one consistently. that way you don't have to worry about discrepancies.
welcome to the group. foodsciguy!!!

Good luck everybody with your weight loss over the weekend!!!
I am currently in a battle with mother-in-law(to be) who insists on filling up everybody elses plates a mile high whilst tucking into her tiny meal (as shes on a diet) and then also takes great delight in trying to make me eat lots of cakes to make her feel better grrrr...
Whats everybody elses greatest challenge when it comes to weight loss.
Mine is definately will power I have never managed to stay on a diet for more than a week. Well not since I was 14-15 but thats another story.

Hey I just learned bout this site. I am 24 and I have three children i weigh 265 and 5"7"
So that is horrible. I have a wedding I am in in august and I am just depressed. I would Like to Join this group becaue it seems motivating and fun. What days do weigh in on and how do i start excercising with no money for a gym membership. Is it possible to workout without going to a gym maybe at park.

Figure out what type of eater you are and you might just find the answer to permanent weight loss.
