21yrs, 5ft 8, 221lbs want to lose weight 10lbs at a time. Looking for motivation buddys
Hey, I have joined CC as a true start for my weight loss(hopefully). I am in my final year at university and want get healthy and lose(some) weight before i have to start work.
Starting this topic to keep me on track as i have tried to lose weight many times before and failed. Lots of tips needed.

i'm coming in late today. i had friends in town and i just wasnt up for getting on the scale while they were here.

Not a single pound lost. I am NOT happy.
I have found out that I am actually 1 inch taller than I thought and that means at 5 ft 9 and 202lbs I have now gone from severely overweight to overweight
(just), never thought I would be happy to be overweight.

Down 3 pounds, I was a little worried this week, I cheated on Sunday, so I'm excited I still lost 3 pounds. :)

I understand and agree! I've been slackin on my excercising and need to get back into it! Argh! What about you? Are you excercising regularly?
no, i'm not. i haven't been in weeks. i feel really guilty for it. i mean, i've been sticking to my diet, but i need to go to the gym too.
right now i'm feeling so depressed that i've got a weird combination of wanting to binge and never wanting to eat again going on. i'm not depressed over my weight but still. it really sucks.

Yeah, me too! Sticking to my diet but no workout! I bet if we add that to the diet we would lose so much more weight and inches!!!! So we need to get back on it! Yeah the past few days, I've been wanting cookies! My fiance keeps that stuff in the house, but since I've been dieting I've been able to just say no! And found my will power is better than I thought but the past few days... I have had at least 3 small chocolate chip cookies a day :-(.
Don't beat yourself up over it! We all hit those moments! Just gotta get through them and remember what your goal is and why you are doing it! Plus if you have pretty decent will power I say TREAT YOURSELF. I usually do on Saturdays, then right back to it on Sunday! That way I don't always feel like I'm missing out. Then during the week when I do get a craving... I know that I can wait until Saturday to treat myself :-) And I'm still losing... 2-3 lbs a week consistently doing that. So TREAT yourself! If you have gone all week doing great you deserve it!
I tried on some jeans that I haven't been able to get into in forever today... and they fit!!!!!!! Yay! You have been doing well so keep it up. ![]()

I too have been sticking to my diet but not working out. Working out has always been a struggle for me. I'm of the mindset now that I'm going to keep doing what I'm doing....but when I hit a plateau, that means I need to start working out more! And I won't have any more excuses at that point because I'm committed to losing this weight.
I started out a size 22 and I'm now into an 18. It's such an amazing feeling. I long to be able to shop in the "regular" departments. I really want to get out of plus sizes, shopping will be so much easier then! Keep up the good work girls, you've really been an inspiration to me to stick with it. *hug*

But I wish to put this week behind me I saw a counsellor yesterday which is a big step for me as I hate it, but I feel I have to.
Anyway I am not weighing in this week I feel that this week doesnt deserve to be logged in my life.
I just need to get the will power to make getting healthy a priority again. Anyone got any suggestions on how to get back on track???
ladies, you are fabulous. seriously. i have been in the **** mood for the past 12 or so hours. but coming in here and reading your responses, i seriously feel much better. it's funny, because i HAVE been good. i haven't been going over on my calories, i have nt been binging. nothing. but i was still feeling oddly sad and guilty. i feel so much better, now. i wish i could have all y'all over to my house for some celebration. we're doing great!!

Hey lexxismiles... You are doing a wonderful job!!!! I bet if you even did someslight excercise like walking your weight would come off a lot faster! You are almost there! size 18!!! In no time you will be in the regular section! And I agree shopping is so much easier then!

Thanks so much for the encouragement! *hug* I did get out and take a nice long walk last night, so that's good. I'm going to try and go out again tonight.
Hey I have a question: Iv been calorie counting for about a month and im losing weight but havnt dropped a pant size yet, is it to early? or is it bc im lacking on exercising i havent cheated yet, been faithful keeping it under 1200 calories a day unless its a workout day i increaes to about 1400.

Gained a pound this week, but that's no surprise. I was out of town staying with friends and they had no good food. I tried to eat less, but I still thought I'd gain. One pound isn't bad, I can make it up this week!
