Hey, I have joined CC as a true start for my weight loss(hopefully). I am in my final year at university and want get healthy and lose(some) weight before i have to start work.

Starting this topic to keep me on track as i have tried to lose weight many times before and failed. Lots of tips needed.

I hear what you are saying about weekends...I've recently begun a new mindset to try and just maintain my Friday weight over the weekend, instead of worrying that I'm going to overeat and not lose. That way I can go off a little, but I keep in mind that I don't want to gain, so it helps me not over do it! You can do it! We'll do it together! You have to keep on pushin! Doesn't matter if you fall off the wagon (Lord knows I've fallen off, AND been run over), just get right back to it!

I almost don't want to admit this but i am in the military and my weight is definitely not acceptable. Last year this time i was losing. I actually got down to 184 and was feeling light and energetic and motivated. i took a pt test in August and i passed it, went into celebration mode and gained like 25lbs. i also was taking Alli, did a 48 hour fast, did alot of kickboxing and running around that time. I can't believe that i let myself go after losing the weight (and gaining more than before) but if i did it before i know i can do it again. my supervisor works with me alot and i'm allowed all the time i need to work out but i don't want to stand out for being overweight.

Thanks for the kind words harmonpl! Don't worry about how much more weight or how much longer it will take. Just make small mini goals for yourself, and take one at a time. That's what I did and I remember having 63 lbs. to lose and now I only have 18 lbs. left. It's taken a while, but all things that are worth it do! I have lost weight many times before, but never the right way and it has always come back on me plus some! You will get there! No worries!!Smile

thanks wants2bhot. I wanted to lose 3 lbs by the end of this month but if i lose 1 i'll be happy. after that i want to continue with a steady lb a week and pretty soon i'll have lost my first 10, then 20 so i can get my breast reduction consultation (treat to myself)!

Good Morning All! I haven't seen any posts or recent updates, so I thought I would start it off! Last week was a good one. I felt like giving up because I kept hovering around the same numbers. FINALLY the scale moved down!!! Here it is:

harmonpl-I know it's hard to keep going when the scale doesn't move, but when you are doing everything right the weight has to come off! It happens to me quite a bit actually! I have gone a couple of weeks without losing, but I keep at it and all of a sudden 3-4 lbs. are gone!!

Ok, you two ladies are hovering right around the same weight! You have to keep one another motivated! It's so funny because I met a girl on this website in July and we were both the same weight as you guys are now. We have pushed one another ever since!! She started at 220, and I started at 211, and now (as of yesterday) she weighs 166 and I weigh 167!!! She has lost over 50 lbs.!!!  We stay in contact via email, text, phone AIM etc. and check in with one another at least twice a week. There has been several times when both of us has wanted to just say screw this mess, but the other one won't allow it! We are like sisters now, and I'm flying out to her wedding in June!! I'm just sharing this to let you know that I've been where you guys are, and I know how it feels to want to get it done! Please remember that taking this weight off no matter how long it takes is a blessing when we have been carrying it around waaaay to long!!! Hope this helps even just a little bit!!

Good Morning! Thanks for the  motivation wants2bhot! I like the idea of having a buddy and someone to hold me accountable!

I actually like to weigh in 2 days a week, since it gives me better insight to my actual weight loss or weight gain. My designated days are Wednesday and Saturday. On Saturday I weighed in at 217 lbs, and here are today's stats:

Its strange because when I first started on CC and started working out, it was like the weight loss process was going sooo slow. All of a sudden, its picked up a little bit, and I am seeing consistent results! I'm really glad that I didn't give up when I got frustrated, and now that I see what I'm capable of, I'm going to keep going until I get to my goal weight!

I'm still here!!! So i weighed myself this morning and NO change. i pretty much expected it though. i have been so lazy this week, i needed to go grocery shopping desperately so i have been eating out like everyday and when i finally get home from work/gym i am so tired and don't feel like doing a thing but showering and relaxing. so yesterday after PT i went straight home, showered, made a grocery list up and went straight to Food Lion. so i'm back to business

So my weight is still the same and my next goal is 1 lb...

Ok, so 16 more lbs. to go to reach my CC goal weight. I'm going to be my sister's MOH in her wedding on June 26th, so I'm hoping I can reach or at least get close to it by then!!!

i feel crazy that i am even so worried about getting back into the 1somethings seeing as how if i ever let myself get to 200lbs that would be the dealbreaker, lol. the crazy/funny thing is even though this is my highest weight ever i don't think i look so big, and when i was at 185 last year i knew i was slimmer but didn't really know how slim i was getting if that makes sense.

Anyway, i was thinking of doing Slim Fast and fruit for breakfast, a big homemade chicken salad for lunch and maybe a lean cuisine for dinner. i feel like i need to do something drastic (especially since i've been told i need to work on my "image") because i want people at my job to see some progress. i mean i know i've lost a few lbs but they can't see it and i want it to be seen that i'm working on my weight issue and don't want to be passed over because of it. Anyway enough rambling, i know my problem is wanting a quick fix but i need something that i can do forever and i can do the Slim Fast (only one meal a day though) and I always eat lean cuisines. I know what i like in my salads and i think i need to eat less carbs and see if i feel a difference. So two weeks of that eating plan and i'll see where i am at (and hopefully people at my job too)...
