yummy breakfast sandwich!
I just made this sandwich for breakfast and it was REALLY good! 2 slices of light bread, toasted, one small banana cut into slices and about 1/8 of a cup (is that like a tablespoon? i don't know) of sugar free maple syrup. Just put the banana and syrup on the bread like a sandwich. It's really sweet and helped me beat my craving for donuts and pastries. YAY!

That does sound good! I've always liked banana on toasted, buttered raisin bread (way too many calories), so maybe this would be a lower calorie version that would be satisfying - I could do a sprinkle of cinnamon on it!
Thanks for the idea.

Yum!
Today I'm doing slices of banana and some blueberries on 'ploughman's bread' (its super-dooper grained up) in a jaffle iron/snack maker. You can add honey but I find it super sweet already. SOOO good. Hot gooey banana!!

I found this recipe at recipezaar that I haven't tried yet, but sounds really good:
http://www.recipezaar.com/16241
I figure if I take
1 slice Light wheat bread (40)
1/2 T Mango jelly (15) (or maybe a few slices of banana)
1 T egg whites (15)
dash of sugar
dash of vanilla
and fry it in a skillet w/ PAM, it shouldn't be too bad at all.
thoughts?

That sounds soo good radbird, i printed it out and i am going to try it. i love banana on top of wheat toast and jelly.
I was in a hurry one morning, and didn't know what to have for breakfast.
Had some whole wheat tortillas left, so I grabbed one of those, spread some Kesam inside it (it's a yoghurt-like dairy product we have here in Norway, it's 1% fat and very low calorie. you could probably use low-fat yoghurt), trew in some lettuce, pieces of red pepper, cucumber, and half a banana, and ate it on my way out the door. I was worried that I'd get hungry too soon, but not only didn't I get hungry for almost 4 hours - I had more energy than I'd had in a long time.
I've been trying to eat high-protein breakfasts, because I read that it helps prevent cravings in the afternoon, but this high-carb breakfast worked much better. I didn't want anything in the evening, and had to force myself to eat just to get over 1200 cals for the day. I've had this breakfast several days, and I just love it. It's low-calorie, very filling (just make sure you use the whole wheat kind of tortilla), and very good. I think it'd also make a great lunch.

A sweet breakfast sandwich really satisfies that craving for a Danish.
Mine is toasted whole grain bread, cottage cheese and sliced strawberries. If I need it to be really sweet, I add some strawberry fruit spread.

Oh that sounds divine!! I have cottage cheese in the fridge, and mixed berries in the freezer. TOmorrow's brekkie is already planned, but Tuesday's has now been earmarked
