Yummy salad dressing!
Hello!
I just wanted to share my recipe for an asian-inspired salad dressing that actually makes me crave salad!
1 part sesame oil
1 part soy sauce
2 parts rice vinegar
A pinch of brown sugar.
It's particularly yummy on a chicken-mango-avocado salad. Yum!
That actually sounds delicious! I usually stay away from dressings other than ranch, but ranch is really unhealthy so since I started dieting I've been looking for yummy dressing recipes. Thnx. :)
Using the proportions you gave there, a quarter cup of this dressing would contain 1000 mg of sodium using regular soy sauce....a typical salad dressing bottle of 475-500 ml or 16 oz, would contain 4000 mg of sodium....FYI
Thanks... but the flavor of this dressing is so strong that I only have to use 1 tsp of sesame oil/soy sauce and 2-3 tsp of rice vinegar. I don't know how it comes in terms of sodium but I'm sure it's not that much.
Pretty easy to figure out...a tbsp of soy sauce is about 1000 mg of salt...one tsp around 330 mg...
Yum..
I make an asian style one...
Garlic
Ginger
Soy sauce
Sesame oil
Apple cider vinegar
Bit of honey/brown sugar
Yep, it's strong lol
