Zig Zaging Calories

Quote  |  Reply

I just went through a plateau but as I was looking through past posts for help I read a couple of times about zig zaging calories. What does that mean?

That means increasing calories and decreasing calories on alternate days.  I, for instance, might eat the following (this is just an example, you should follow your OWN calories restrictions):

1,300 calories Monday

1,500 calories Tuesday

1,200 calories Wednesday

1,400 calories Thursday

etc.

I do this when my weight loss stalls to jumpstart my losing again.

I thought this website was kinda handy http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_calc ulator.htm

You enter your details then click 7-day calorie cycle zig zag.

Thanks for the replies. The website is great!

Laughing glad it helped

Let us know how you get on!!

I'm sorta confused too, I just recently joined this to try to get down to my old preferred weight, and.... it said I should be eating a 2,000 calorie diet, I haven't yet to do that, I noticed that with the zig-zag, as you call it, it is all closer to the 1,000? Is that healthy and if I want to lose would this be possible for me?

you should never eat below 1200 calories---that's not what I have to say but it's what the facts state..if you truly want to zig zag you need to find out what your correct numbers are...and to do that..my best advice would be to go to this webite to learn more info on it. http://www.j3nn.net/about/

I love Jenn's site! I've been zig zagging since I started May 5th. I believe I am having success with it because my clothing feels looser,  I have lost a couple of inches off my hips and two off my waist. Haven't weighed yet.

My days might look like this

Mon - 1800

Tues - 1480

Wed - 1770

Thur - 1809

Fri  -  1556

Sat - 1863

Sun - 1750

I don't exactly zig zag. I just eat more on a couple days of the week. Just enough to keep the body guessing and kick up the metabolism. That's another alternative.

n/m.. posting a new thread instead :)
