Okie, so I usually eat 1 or 2 zone bars a day. For example instead of eating a bowl of kashi cereal I'll have a zone bar for breakfast instead. I make sure that it fits in my 1200 calorie diet. However, I'm wondering if anyone actually knows if zone bars are good for you or not...should i cut down or cut them out? I know they are high in sugar, but I am not eating anything else with a very high sugar content.

I eat zone bars everyday too. I love the dark chocolate ones. I'm 5'1" and 104 lbs, and I don't gain weight from eating them...However, I think I may go broke eating all these expensive nutrition bars all the time. A calorie is a calorie, as long as you don't eat more than you burn you shouldn't gain weight. Zone bars may contain sugar, but they are high in protein and I think they are low glycemic, meaning that they don't cause a spike in blood sugar levels.
If you are concerned about sugars or artificial sweeteners, you might want to try LaraBars. I like the apple pie (180 calories) and cherry pie (190 calories). They also have other flavors with between 200 and 220 calories a bar. LaraBars contain no sugars or artificial sweeteners, just fruit and nuts. They also make some chocolate flavored bars called Jocolat, which also contain cocoa, and about 190 calories a bar.
Also, as a sidenote, depending on your height and weight, 1200 calories a day might be too low. 1200 is the minimum calorie intake. For example, I'm petite, but I eat 2800 calories a day to maintain my weight because I am very active.
I am 5'4" and 122lbs...right now I am trying to get back to my old 115lb. weight. Even though I work out almost everyday, I am not very active throughout the rest of the day. I have a desk job, so its not very movement oriented at all :/ Thanks for the info, I'll look into Larabars :)
